Since we didn't have enough comic book movies coming out, Channing Tatum will suit up as the ragin' cajun on October 7, 2016: www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=58240So between this, Deadpool, and Apocalypse, that makes 3 X-Men movies in one year. Fox may be screwing up the FF, but I applaud them for building their X-Men universe further.

Not to be repetitive but... DAMMIT!!! Come on, Marvel is expanding but it was nice to fantasize for a second that Fox had their shit together.

Man. This is the second time in a row that Rupert Wyatt has had to drop out of something he was very publicly committed too. First time that I can think of being when he didn't return to direct "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes".

Gambit will no longer be coming out in 2016. Fox also announced 2 unknown titles for next year and 2018. www.comicbookmovie.com/deadpool/fox-announces-two-untitled-marvel-films-pull-gambit-from-2016-release-a131529Deadpool effect? I really do hope they're thinking about what Deadpool was able to accomplish on such a small budget. Creativity comes out of necessity when funds are limited. I know Channing Tatum is expensive, but you don't need $150 million to make a solo Gambit movie. Make it small and make it personal. New Orleans is one hell of a city, have fun with the setting.

I guess it's all relative... To me, small budget sounds like a sketch I'd shoot with my friends.

I'm responding to this almost a year later, haha. I meant small in terms of superhero movie budgets, which tend to be between $140 to $250 million. Logan was made on $150 apparently. I'm really curious to see where all of that money went, considering the trailers have made this look like it'll be less CGI and more barren wastelands. Typically a budget like that would worry me for the type of movie it seems like it's trying to be, but it's doing so good right now in terms of critic scores that I'm feeling good about it.
Anywho, I'd be willing to bet that the studio has moved on and isn't going to be doing a Gambit film.
