Looks cool. I don't know how scary it'll actually be, but I like the colors and it looks really well done. This is how to perpetuate the genre. It's what Kevin Feige and co. have been doing. I hope it turns out well. At this point, I'll plan on seeing it in theaters.
This is somewhat related, but I actually started watching the pilot of that new Fox show "The Gifted". I hated it. Now, in all fairness I didn't see the entire episode because I had to tap out and I admit it could get better. It's just... the acting wasn't so great and it felt like the weaker parts of Bryan Singer's X-Men movies which were my childhood. He directed the first episode and it is tv, so I guess that explains it but I was hoping it could be something special. Maybe it will be.

Really? Cause I've loved both episodes so far. It's certainly much better than Inhumans.

I haven't watched Inhumans yet. That could change my perspective. I've heard good things about the show (The Gifted), so maybe my expectations were too high. I don't know though. Runaways looks good to me, and I'm interested in Cloak and Dagger. I'll give gifted another shot.

Same here, I wonder what could have happened? So, so disappointing. It looks so good too.

From what I've heard, while the test screenings went well, they wanted to up the horror factor a bit more.

You know what, I think I read the same thing after posting here. Except the article I read said the test screenings were okay, but not as hyped as Fox was hoping for. I read it at comicbookmovie.com, but I don't remember the source that they got it from. I wonder if this past year's success with the horror genre has encouraged Fox to up the scares even further than what they had originally planned. I'm not sure I like the idea of adding in more scares as a gimmick.
They did push the movie back quite a ways, so hopefully there's some serious inspiration behind this. It'd be a shame if this was just a cheap ploy by Fox to get in on the recent trend of box office rewards the horror genre has earned for itself. I mean, the movie couldn't have had that much more work to do on it with 3 months till release, could they? Besides CGI I mean... Either way, they gave themselves a long time so at least they're conveying that they don't want to rush it.

So it's been pushed again to August 2 2019, while Dark Phoenix is pushed to February 14 2019. www.cbr.com/x-men-dark-phoenix-new-mutants-new-release-dates/This is just getting ridiculous at this point. But it's also hilarious, because let's remember, Fox also wants to make Gambit, Kitty Pryde, Multiple Man, and X-Force movies. And by the time New Mutants finally does come out, the Disney deal will be finalized and everything they wanted to make will be cancelled.

Probably just posturing to make themselves look busy. Plus, they have to have projects in line to keep profit coming in the event the deal doesn't go through. I'm a little bummed about Dark Phoenix. I was really excited about seeing what Simon Kinberg had coming. The cast seemed to be enjoying themselves on set, even Jennifer Lawrence (who I've had a grudge against). One has to wonder if their hesitation sparked from working with Bryan Singer, who, it was recently revealed can be sporadic and difficult to work with.

New Mutants delayed indefinitely due to corona virus: www.cbr.com/mulan-new-mutants-removed-release-schedule-coronavirus/Obviously this is just one of many films being effected by the outbreak, but in the case of a film that has been delayed two years from its original release, I think it's just time they cut their losses and put it on Disney+ or Hulu. On a related topic, I hope you guys are being precautious. I think the media is blowing things out of proportion, but hopefully the situation will settle down soon and that all these event and movie cancellations will help curve the contagion.
