The US premiere of Deathly Hallows has taken place in New York. On the carpet Daniel Radcliffe revealed that "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling sent him a very interesting text message after the film's London premiere last week. "Basically, it amounted to the fact that she felt I had been very good in this 'Harry Potter' film, and as a reward for that, she wasn't going to [write] any more 'Harry Potter' [books]," Radcliffe revealed to MTV News. "I'm sure she will be writing other books," he continued. "But I can pretty much guarantee that Harry will not be a feature." www.mtv.com/news/articles/1652336/20101115/story.jhtmThe best you could hope for are school books like Tales of Beedle the Bard, Quidditch Though The Ages or Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Plagiarism lawsuit against J.K. Rowling from Willy the Wizard author estate has been dismissed.
Statement from Scholastic: Scholastic is extremely pleased that Judge Scheindlin decided to dismiss, at the earliest stage possible, the lawsuit brought against Scholastic by the estate of Adrian Jacobs. The Court's swift dismissal supports our position that the case was completely without merit and that comparing Willy the Wizard to the Harry Potter series was absurd. Judge Scheindlin clearly agreed, stating: "...the contrast between the total concept and feel of the works is so stark that any serious comparison of the two strains credulity." Scholastic will continue to vigorously defend any such frivolous claims challenging the originality of Harry Potter and the brilliant imagination of its author, J.K. Rowling.
