Sega has announced an all new Captain America game today in development for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PSP and DS at Next Level Games. Captain America: Super Soldier takes Marvels' iconic super hero to World War II where he will face off against Red Skull and his forces. The game will be based on the movie and is slated to be released next year. Screenshots can be viewed here: scrawlfx.com/gallery/captain-america-super-soldier/october-10-2010/

Will Bucky or the All-Star Squadron and The Invaders be in the game?

Still early stages but maybe, depending on the film and the sub-plots they will have in the game.

The game won't fallow the movie. So the possibilities are relatively endless

Still early stages but maybe, depending on the film and the sub-plots they will have in the game. I hope so. I wanna fight alongside Namor and The Human Torch! Or Spitfire and Union Jack would be cool, too. I'm hoping that maybe the All-Star Squadron and Invaders at least get a mention. I'm a huge Namor fan (and Cap), so I would mark (go wild with glee) out.

I like it, but they should have the tank shell knock him back, even with the shield. It would be more realistic, even for being based on comic books. I wonder if they skip over his first shield for the supershield right away or if you have to unlock/earn it with gameplay.

All I've seen are pictures of the modern shield, even with Cap dressed in his old school duds. There are pictures at Superhero hype of a stunt man on a motorcycle. I mention that because he has the modern shield strapped to his back. I really doubt they're going to have the original shield in this franchise (except as maybe an unlockable in the video game or something).

Story kinda sounds like Arkham Asylum too.

Both games have potential.

Both games have potential. Indeed. They both look good, but so did the Iron Man games. Then again, my main problem with those games were the mechanics; it was hard to control the suit. I hope Cap and Thor won't have those problems; it doesn't look like it though.
