Rockstar, the company that built its reputation around Grand Theft Auto's gangsters earned a new set of spurs last year with the Old West adventure Red Dead Redemption. Having won many awards. L.A. Noire is another period piece. It is a crime thriller set in late 1940s Los Angeles. Developed by Australian studio Team Bondi, you'll play the role of detective Cole Phelps of the LAPD during the 1940s. It will be your job to solve crimes in the City of Angels and Hollywood using a combination of wit and force. Team Bondi is handling the development efforts for L.A. Noire which reportedly utilizes a 200,000-word script. For reference, a typical movie screenplay is roughly one-tenth that size. This monstrous script should yield somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 hours worth of footage in the game. To present the dialogue, Team Bondi has developed a new facial capture process with lip-syncing that is already garnering praised. You could potentially get a read on a character's honesty by watching their faces. Here are the trailers that have been released: Also a trailer leaked yesterday: www.thekoalition.com/l-a-noire-story-trailer-debuts-release-date-set-for-may-17thThe leaked trailer revealed a May 17th release date.

I wasn't too excited till I saw that video. Looks really great, I'll maybe get it. But it'll most likely get rated M, and depending on the salesman or woman, I may be asked to show an ID card (and thus being prevented from buying it). Goddamn Canadian laws.

My dad doesn't even know how to hold a controller properly, and my mom is always busy.......playing DS. I'd say they just don't want to come with me because they're lazy. I'm their son after all.

"The Naked City" Vice Case Trailer:
In the Vice desk case "The Naked City" (available as a pre-order bonus through GameStop in the U.S. and Canada), Cole Phelps investigates the apparent suicide of a stunning fashion model. When the young beauty is tragically found naked in her bathroom amidst a pool of pills, the most likely conclusion is that she's taken her own life. But what about those bruises? And her taste for luxury beyond her means? It soon becomes apparent that this young lady wasn't quite the ingénue some believed her to be.
