FBI blames North Korea for Sony hacking: www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-30555997Obama also took a shot at Sony for caving but he should probably be blaming the theater companies that actually believed NK could conduct terrorist attacks on their cinemas.

Whoa. Can't say I'm staying current on everything, but it seems kind of a shame. On the other hand, it is difficult to keep things going after 50 years. If they do another reboot, I suppose things will just be retold in some fashion.

I'm all for it. Like you kind of said, sometimes things have just run their course, kind of like DC. The only concern I have is what will happen with X-Men and Fantastic Four. Marvel may deny it, but they're definitely getting the short stick because of Fox owning the rights. They killed Wolverine, putting the FF on hiatus, and plan to kill off Deadpool. I just worry that they'll be phased out and the Inhumans will fill the mutant role now, along with other things that may happen to align the comics and movies.

Floyd Mayweather defeats Manny Pacquiao in unanimous decision: www.cnn.com/2015/05/03/sport/mayweather-pacquiao-fight/index.htmlWhen they say "Fight of the Century", they're kidding themselves. I'll concede that it was the most anticipated fight of the 21st century. Considering that Mayweather has the best defense of this generation of fighters, possibly any generation of the past 100 years, and Pacquiao one of the best offenses, it had potential. With MMA overtaking boxing in today's public interest, it's unlikely that the sport will reclaim the prominence it once had. This is why I've said it may well be boxing's last "great" match. That said, the fight didn't live up to its potential, and no doubt there are fighters out there who aren't fighting in the big times that have put on better shows than what was offered Saturday night. The fight ended the way many people predicted it would: Mayweather controlled the fight, moved around the ring a lot, and shut down Pacquiao's offense. Let's not get it twisted, a lot of people hoped Pacquiao would change the dynamic of the fight, but Mayweather has won most of his 48 victories in much the same fashion. We didn't see anything revolutionary or new. EDIT: I don't mean to sound disingenuous though. I was looking forward to this fight for a long time. It's just that the excitement over the fact that it was finally happened out weighed my need to express my worries of a boring fight. Unfortunately, that's what we got, and I don't know many people who are surprised at the result. Mayweather fought as he always fights, and when the emotions settle, it makes sense. Why would he fight any differently if he's trying to remain undefeated?

Jurassic World holds the new all time global and domestic opening weekend at the box office: www.yahoo.com/movies/jurassic-world-beats-avengers-record-box-office-121598670972.htmlFunny thing is, I remember JP 3 making a killing on its opening weekend. Those numbers are what got me into box office wars. Then the first Harry Potter came out and trounced JP 3's numbers, then Spider-man came out and trounced Harry Potter's numbers. Heck, it created a fan out of me back in 2002 (in combination with the excellent Playstation game). Since then I've been watching movies come and hold onto the title for a couple years before being outdone by the next big thing. It seems fitting that Jurassic Park once again ignites that flame. Truth be told, I've gotten over that juvenile sense of competitiveness with opening weekend box office contests, but I'm still excited when a movie or franchise I like does well. As I said in the Rate the Last Movie You Watched thread, I hope this can be another Planet of the Apes situation. A situation where the first movie after a long hiatus in an established series reignites the flame, and is followed by a superior sequel.
