Though I gave your post the thumbs up, I miss the thumbs down option. It was instrumental in voicing my disapproval. So instrumental...

If Cap is going around kicking everyone else's ass, then Winter Soldier is going to be one crazy piece of work. Love the music in this too. Espionage guitars a la James Bond or some s---. I bet that scene where Cap says he's willing to pay the price for freedom won't be cheesy at all within the context of the movie. I haven't read any complaints yet, but I'm anticipating that there will be an abundance of them. So excited though. The CGI has been polished too, of course, but it's always nice to see something improve over time.

Sebastian Stan made an appearance on AMC’s movie talk to talk about CA:TWS after film’s the London premiere. Senior Editor John Campia had this to say of the movie:
“Full disclosure, I saw the trailers for Captain America The Winter Soldier and I thought the movie would be good. But I didn’t think much beyond that for a while… A bunch of people went to see a press screening earlier this week. And I think it was me, Roth from IGN, Steve from Collider, a bunch of guys from Coming Soon, Eric from Cinema Blend, we all walked out of the theater together, and we stood dumb founded... and we looked at each other like, ‘what did we just see?’ It’s the best movie of the year, so far. And I thought it would be at least until November that I said something beat out the Lego movie for me, which I loved so much… but this is for me is the best movie of the year so far. I was floored by it.”
For more of the interview, you can view it on the link below. It does a good job of selling the movie as something beyond a good action movie. If we're talking well rounded ensembles where each player has something good to chew on (i.e. minimal throw away characters or unsatisfying teases), Cap could be king this year.

Okay people, so, I accidentally saw the beginning of the movie. I clicked on this video posted in the comments section of comicbookmovie.com, not paying any attention to the run time of the video or anything. I quickly realized what was going on, but once you're hooked, you're hooked. So, without spoiling any story details, I have to say, wow. I love it. Excitement is building, I wish the damn thing was coming out now.

Before I say anything, I must admit that I didn’t see this movie with the best crowd. I chaperoned a middle school event, and boy howdy were these children rowdy, yee-haa. Seriously folks, I had to crack a couple noodles together to maintain order. Dear God, I’m sounding like SHIELD. That being said, it feeds into what I’m going to say. The audience was entirely composed of 7th and 8th graders. So anyway,…
Captain America did so many things right, it was just wonderful. Be it the acting and characterization, the action and fight choreography, as well as use of character powers and abilities, proper use of easter eggs and universe lore without excluding the general audience, this movie exceeds expectations.
The Acting: Chris Evans does a fantastic job as Steve Rogers. So much so that when my wife and I left the theater, we unintentionally continued calling the actor Steve. His personality is great, evoking your loyalty, love, and sympathy in the actions and attitudes of the audience. At the beginning of the film kids were being ridiculous, calling the character Batman and Peter Parker, but halfway through the film the audience was cheering. You can’t help but love this guy, he’s better than the best guy you know, but he’ll be damned if he doesn’t believe you’re just as good as him. Then of course there’s Anthony Mackie, Scarlett Johansson, Sam Jackson, and Emily VanCamp. Johansson and Jackson have submitted their finest performances as the Widow and Fury, respectively. Johansson especially, who through a good script and actual acting talent (f*** the fanboys) becomes a real person in this movie. VanCamp was used effectively, and though her role was not all that large, she’s a really likable gal. Finally, we have Mackie, who is excellent as the Falcon. I didn’t find him as funny as I thought he would be, but he succeeds as an empathetic character you can cheer for and get excited about seeing again. He definitely is a big part in this movie being as fantastic as it is.
Action, fight choreography, and powers First I’ll speak of the action. The vehicular warfare is really fun to watch, which a misstep is so often, and there are even unexpected jump scares that keep you at the edge of your seat. You aren’t forced to endure long chases at high speeds where cars simply ram each other off the road. You get up close inside of the cars with the actors and feel the stakes of what they’re involved in. The helicarriers, as well as the quin-jets, and Anthony Mackie’s flight harness are also rendered with jaw dropping beauty. You get to follow missiles whizzing through the air, gigantic cannons firing, mechanically powered human flight. Beautiful stuff; if Iron Man, Thor, and Falcon get a scene or two together in the Avengers as a flying squad, fans will lose their shit.
The hand to hand fight choreography is Marvel’s best, bar none. Nothing comes close. I do see what some critics were talking about, when they said not everything was visible, but I think the effect is put to good use in portraying the blinding speed of a super human soldier. Besides, there are plenty of scenes in this movie when you can clearly see what’s going on, and the blend is really effective IMO. It’s hard to say anything that hasn’t been said before (I’ve read a lot of reviews), but as a fan of really home grown, authentic fight experiences in cinema, this movie delivers in ways the genre has never approached before. You see the hero get knocked on his back so many times by this Terminator, you wonder if he’s going down for the count, only to see him flip back up and side kick the villain across the street.
Powers and abilities Of all the Marvel Studios films, this one does the best job at portraying what Steve Rogers is capable of. He’s an efficient fighter, a one man army who uses a blend of his shield, acrobatics, kick boxing, wrestling, and whatever else SHIELD has taught him to neutralize his opponents. Cap busts doors off their hinges when in hot pursuit, puts craters in walls, and uses his SHIELD in ways that comic artists and writers have been illustrating for decades. It’s a real treat to finally get to see what that looks like on the big screen.
Cinematic Lore: You learn a few things in this movie. Well, not learn, but I was surprised at what Marvel decided to incorporate into the film from the comics. It was like, “Did they just go there? Oh man, they’re going there!” There are plenty of references to some of the other big players in the MCU, all very natural, some who have yet to hit the big screen. Really exciting stuff.
Well, I’ve gushed enough for now. I’m dying to read about what you guys think about this. I’m going again today, hopefully with a better behaved crowd. It’s a testament to the movie though that the kids calmed down and got invested.

In my opinion, it was even better than Avengers. I really can't think of anything negative to say. It's a real game-changer for the MCU. I do have some other things to say, but it's kind of spoilery. Are spoilers on or off at the moment?
