I watched it when I was young and liked it, but I saw it recently and I just didn't think it was very funny or entertaining

I have to agree with Rider. I loved the movie when I was a kid. I saw it again recently and I realized that it was never that great of a movie. Live action versions of cartoons do have a bad reputation, but they aren't doomed by the laws of physics and nature to fail. WB is a pretty respectable studio. I'm sure they've got something up their sleeve.

After seeing previews for Yogi Bear, I now have faith that Bugs Bunny can be done.

don't be making jokes here BiB. you'd be scaring the children.
the fact is that these characters were created for shorts. their stories were like a few minutes long maybe 5 maybe 15. but no more then that.
the only successful life action cartoon movie was roger rabbit. because it was an original story that happened to include these other characters.
WB i think has a smart direction with looney toons. they are eyeing making them shorts infront of their movies. such as Wile E. Coyote (idk how to spell anything)
i think thats perfect.
i know they are making an Acme movie. which could be interesting.
and just from my memory i still love Space Jam. i mean i just thought the art was great and that those monsters stealing the basketball players skillz and becoming giant and awesome was clever.

The yogi bear trailer made me sick... Why? To begin with, Yogi bear was kind of a ridiculous cartoon. But what this trailer showed me, was that the movie was going to be one of those movies with a completely pointless and stupid plot that tries to make up for it by attempting to be funny. Buuut it seemed to fail at the being funny part too. All I saw was a bear being stupid. But that's just me

My hopes for this film are fading now that reviewers have branded Yogi Bear unbearable...
