This is from a few months back. I just investigated and news of it surfaced around March and April. It's odd that there hasnt been anything else on it.
Either way, it's something to look forward to. Lelouch will actually be alive in this since it takes place in 2017 (During Season 1)
I await further information.

Cowboy Bebop IS really cool man. Recommended.
Especially the movie.

That's awesome then. I hope the original writers are involved though. Taniguchi and Oukouchi's writing was fantastic.

So guys, I've been kinda doing some "fan-casting" for a Code Geass movie. Would like to hear your opinions. Now I got a lot of characters, but not all of them. Some roles are hard to cast. I'm gonna post a few every post, with a little commentary. I'll also take requests so if there's a character you'd like to know who would play them, I'll post them early.

First off, the main characters.


Lelouch/Zero- Kelly Blatz (Aaron Stone, Glory Daze, Prom Night)

I think Blatz can pull it off. He's already got action experience with Aaron Stone and can pull off an evil personality.


Suzaku Kururugi- Harry Shum Jr. (Glee)

If you're wondering how I would do the school uniforms as seen here, they would be more English style, since it's Britannia and all. There would be a black jacket with an Ashford patch on the front, black shoes, a gold tie with a black Ashform symbol, and dark gray shit and pants. For the girls though, instead of pants, they would have skirts and high socks. Just thought you'd like to know.


C.C.- Valerie Tian (Drillbit Taylor)

For the movie, I would make CC's hair platinum blonde, almost white. Because, come on, green hair? Just unrealistic. But I still wanted to have a hair color that's mysterious, and platinum blonde seemed the best root.


Nunnally- Ryan Newman (Zeke and Luther)

For the film, I just think it would be silly to have her eyes closed all the time. So I'd just give her sunglasses like any other blind person.


Kallen- Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Sky High, Final Destination 3)

I believe Winstead can pull off both sides of Kallen; the timid side at Ashford, as well as a bad ass in the Black Knights. Plus, she's as hot as Kallen.
And you know how Kallen's hair is different whenever she's at school or with the Black Knights? I wanted to do something similar. Her hair would be down at school, and in a pony tail with the Black Knights.


Rolo- Brandon Steven Perry (Good Luck, Charlie)

I wanted to cast someone around the same age as Newman, since Rolo is supposed to be Nunnally's "twin" if you will.

So what do you guys think? Any others you'd want to know about?

Woah, best list I've seen yet... Okay, I really haven't seen that many, but still an amazing list. Only choice I'd question is Winstead, though.

However, I don't think C.C should be played by an asian. Since...ya know, she's of European birth.
I always had this idea of Zooey Deschannel playing her. You be the judge


And, as much as I'd hate to get rid of her green hair, you're probably right. Though I wouldn't oppose to the green.

Besides that, I think you've got a solid line up.
Nunnally's is just perfect.

Next up, the students of Ashford Academy. Now for the case of Lelouch, Shirley, Milly, Rivalz, and Suzaku, for the R1 stage of the series, they will be juniors and will be seniors in the R2 stage. I just thought it was too coincidental that the characters closest to Lelouch were all held back a year. Anyway...


Milly Ashford- Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory, 8 Simple Rules)

She's perfect. A hot blonde that's funny and can have a strong personality. Plus she's already played a class president before.
One thing though: I'd cut her television story from the R2 stage in the movies. I know it adds on character development, but I don't think it's that necessary. In its place, she'd start having feelings for Rivalz. Come on, you know something was between them in the final episodes.


Rivalz Cardemonde- Nathan Kress (iCarly)

He can pull it off. Plus he's had practice at playing a guy hopelessy chasing after a girl.


Nina Einstein- Kay Panabaker (No Ordinary Family)

I've seen her pull off teen angst, and that's one of the main things about Nina.


Shirley Fennette- Debby Ryan (Suite Life on Deck, 16 Wishes)

Something about her just says Shirley to me.

Any more thoughts?

Nah, she really is European. And it makes sense when you consider her origins. Salve Girl, friend to a nun, burned at the steak early in her immortality. That's european right there. And she sort of looks like it too.

I don't know who else to pick though. Man...if only Sarah Michelle Gellar was like 10 years younger.

I did have another pick for Shirley, but I thought Debby Ryan looked more the part. I was also considering Ashley Leggat:

Ryoga Senba- Barry Corbin (Ben 10: Alien Swarm)

Okay, I know what you’re thinking. He’s not Asian. Thing is though, I thought he was when I saw him in that Ben 10 movie. Besides, it’s a small role. Will anyone notice? This couldn’t get the same reaction to the Last Airbender thing could it? He’s my pick though.


Kosetsu Urabe- Jay Chou (The Green Hornet)


Taizo Kirihara- James Hong (The Day The Earth Stood Still)


Diethard Ried- Jon Stewart (The Daily Show)

Odd choice but let me explain. Diethard’s a newsman and he can be a little over the top; Stewart’s the same way. I can just see him cheering like Diethard when Zero appears on TV in R2 ep 2.

You may notice that some characters aren't here. That's because I haven't found any actors that I thought would fit yet. I'm open to any suggestions you guys have though.

Ashley Leggat is a HUGE improvement.

You may not believe this, but I'd pick Jackie Chan for Todou

BECAUSE...He's actually about as old as todou should be, and he is very capable of having that intense japanese grimace todou has all of the time.

Now...how about Keira Knightley for Shirley?

You may say "she's too old" but, that's an easy stunt to pull off. They're doing it with Garfield in spider-man, why not here?

The other Black Knights are pretty much spot on.
Anyways, NEXT SET (Britannians, am I right?)
