Yeah, he was one crazy dude. He brought some interesting plot points though. But he got pwned in the end, as he deserved.

but he could have been one of the greatest anime villains of all time if they would have at least given him his own season, or half a season, or not even the main vilain
like gin in bleach, he's not the main villain (or is he?) but everyone seems to like him more

Well, they couldn't have given him so much time. For one, the show isnt really like bleach. It has a planned story and not that much room for stuff like that. So they need as much of the show as they can get to focus on the main storyline of the show. Of course, these subplots help, but you cant expand TOO much.
But, it would have been cool if he'd stuck around for a few more episodes.

Well, they couldn't have given him so much time. For one, the show isnt really like bleach. It has a planned story and not that much room for stuff like that. So they need as much of the show as they can get to focus on the main storyline of the show. Of course, these subplots help, but you cant expand TOO much. But, it would have been cool if he'd stuck around for a few more episodes. the reason bleach is so big is because many episodes, plus 4 seasons are only fillers they could have made some filler episodes with Mao IMO and make the show last longer |
