why would you make an X-Men anime along with Wolverine? unless its just to bring everyone up on where he came from like Origins

Adrian Pasdar ("Heroes," "Castle," "Profit") will lend his voice to the character of Tony Stark in "Iron Man," an all-new series which sees Stark travel to Japan and battle the evil Zodiac Organization. Milo Ventimiglia ("Gilmore Girls," "Rocky Balboa," "Heroes"), takes on the title role in "Wolverine," as Logan claws his way through Japan's criminal underworld.

A Wolverine anime and they didn't even get Steven Blum, a veteran anime voice actor and Wolverine's definitive voice? Fail.

i watched the wolverine one. the japanese one with subs.
overall i have to say its okay. it isn't ignorant in wolverine at face value. it knows the story its taking from and does it okay.
where it mainly goes wrong personally is the pacing. its terribly slow. its trying to be artsy, but really all anime do that from time to time and mostly for poor effect. it just makes it slow and boring.
by taking from the japanese story line you are taking on one of the greatest wolverine stories ever written. all the character conflicts are completely removed for a more simplistic romance revenge story.
the action and animation is pretty good, but wolverine's healing is amped up to make any threat really not that threatening. wolverine is indestructible, but he can feel pain and that is important. speed up the healing and you take something out of the character.
my other complaint is while that i thought it was an okay adaption in that it just leaves out the deeper stuff. i can't fault it for not having something in there, but i can fault it on contradictions to the point of the story. wolverine is struggling with japanese culture in itself with the traditions of honor. the bad guy cheats and thus is dishonoring his own system completely ruining any point the story should have.
sure script the story to its basic elements of action and romance, but don't insult it.
if you don't ask for anything its okay, but its actually really bad when you think about it.
the only unquestionable plus i can give it is that even tough the voice actor is japanese he has a good wolverine voice if you can understand that. just listen to the guy yell and you'll know.
sadly the american dub doesn't have that voice.
