Looks pretty good. The voice sounded right, but the delivery was off for me. I was told that this movie is close to being the best for anything Batman animated. So,... maybe it's just me right now.

Being a huge, huge fan of the comic, this gave me chills. Batman: Year One is one of my favorite books of all time and hearing that line in all its glory was just jizztastic.
STEP IT UP, MARVEL!!!!

The first review post release (that I'm aware of) is in. It isn't too flattering. screenrant.com/batman-year-one-reviews-bluray-kofi-135374/I'm not sure I'll agree though. My buddy loved it, and he's a big Batman fan who has seen just about every television and movie incarnation out there. He's picky, to say the least. So we'll see.

The first reviews from the SDCC premiere were pretty positive. Nonetheless, I'll judge it for myself and looking forward to it. Damn, we are more than a week away from so much Batman goodness. I just to just nitpick for a minute: Those other books aren't set in the Miller-verse. Rather they are inspired by and set during or after Year One. The only books canon for Miller's Batman are Year One, All Star Batman and Robin, Dark Knight Returns, and Dark Knight Strikes Again. :-[Just wanted to point that out.

Year One is actually canon to the normal universe. Year One is how DC sees Batman's beginning. I believe The Dark Knight Returns was too until they started adding more characters and things didn't make sense suddenly. (Like more Robins)

(Like more Robins) Year One is canon to both according to DC (though the recent relaunch may throw that into question). DKR was always an unofficial Elseworlds.

catwoman's origin is not canon though.

catwoman's origin is not canon though. Yeah, I never understood how they considered it canon when Selina is all sorts of different. Unless maybe they consider that canon and they just don't acknowledge how she changed from stripper to cat-burglar...or from black to white. LOL

year one offers more gray morality characters. instead of being completely likable bruce and selina have flaws that is out of the ordinary.
if batman was ever to win an oscar it'd need to be the year one interpretation because it makes you think more about his mentality.

Stupid Screenrant. I was pretty sure that Year One came out the same day as Arkham City, but then Screenrant made it seem like it was already available. I went to Blockbuster all excited yesterday night.

Love that. Ben's voice is actually really good. The first video with him blowing open the Roman's house didn't have the best voice, but this newest video is really great. He sounds just like I expected a Year One Batman to sound.
The 18th is Batman day for me.
