That's pretty slick, glad to see him back. He was pretty good. I also read there's going to be some vehicular warfare going on in this, which may or may not make for good action. I'm rarely wowed with the routine car chases that show up in these types of movies.

I'm gonna make a prediction: Senator Stern will be Red Skull in disguise.

Didn't the 90's Cap movie do something similar?

that would be hilariously stupid and yet i'm kind of okay with that. maybe i'm just accustomed to that sort of thing with cap comics.

The black in the abdominal area looks a little strange, but the rest of it looks great. It seems that Cap is back to his trendy old ways. His costume in Avengers left much to be desired.

Similar to my thoughts about the Mark 42 having too much yellow, this suit has too much blue. It makes sense as a black-ops suit though (if that's what they're going for), as it does look similar to the Commander Rogers suit he wore with the Secret Avengers. I'm kinda hoping for something a little brighter for Avengers 2 though; you know, something hopefilled.

Here's an audio description of the footage shown at SDCC for CA TWS:
Sounds fun. If you listen to the panel, they claim that they've stayed very true to the stories that the film's titled after. It sounds like an interesting take. I think Marvel is getting better at tying all of their strands together, so I have faith that this won't become another Iron Man 2 in order to lead into the Avengers, even though Feige is saying that CA TWS is the biggest bridge to Avengers Age of Ultron.

Footage description from D23 expo: There's a flying SHIELD vehicle. Cap and Black Widow are on board. Black Widow asks him if he has any plans later. "Well, all the guys from my barbershop quartet are dead, so probably not." She tells him that, if he asks out an unknown character, she'll probably say yes. "That's why I don't ask," he says. She asks if he's too scared as he gear up to make a paratrooper jump. "Too busy," he says, leaping out. He lands on some sort of cruise ship, running across, taking out armed guards. It's VERY well choreographed. Lots of intense shield-swinging and long tracking shots to show off what looks like a practical boat set. He's taken out most of the guys just as Crossbones and Black Widow lands. She's completely unmoved, continuing the conversation, listing other girls that Cap should take out as they take over the boat. I'm not sure who the villains here are, but they're speaking another language. Sometimes you need to see the action from a distance to appreciate the work that goes into it. One thing that bothered me about Pacific Rim was that the camera was always right in the middle of the action, looking up at the film's mammoth creations. Del Toro used this technique to emphasize the magnitude of the beasts/jaegers, but it would have been nice to catch some of the action from afar. I hear the upcoming Godzilla movie differentiates itself in this respect, among other things. Back to Cap though, it's nice to see some consistency between changing directors. The fight choreography will be different, but Johnston also allowed his camera to linger on a shot, avoiding quick cuts and getting in too close. You actually got to see what Cap was doing and where he was going to go next.

Can't believe this hasn't been posted yet:
Guess we had to expect a Hellicarrier to crash eventually. If it's like the comics, it'll be the first of many.

I've been so busy, and then there's the matter of my shoddy video posting skills. Love the trailer, it's the most impressive trailer Marvel has put out since their Avengers material. Iron Man 3 looked pretty boss before it came out, but the choreography in this is pretty slick.
