We all have our favourite YouTube videos. I thought creating a thread dedicated to sharing them could be fun... Just a place to post YouTube videos we like. You can easily embed them like so:

Guess I'll start with this one:

I create a nice friendly thread, hoping to gather positive responses... And this is what I get! Bullshit, I say!

I'll get to that in a second, but let me start out with a question: Could we include podcasts in this thread? I don't see podcasts being as easy to find as youtube channels, so I'm not sure it warrants its own thread. I'd also like to have more podcasts on my radar, as they make for great listening and learning.
Onto the actual topic of the thread!
I don't follow any channels per se, but my wife likes that Ryan Higa fellow, who has his nigahiga channel for sketches and commentaries. She also keeps up with BF vs. GF. Their video blogs are okay; I'd rather watch those than reality tv. I feel a little hypocritical for saying that, but it's a little more raw. Though I'm sure that the more money these people get, the more scripted and planned out their "shit" becomes. Guess that's how it goes. Although, the video blog done by Charles and Ally Trippy is beautiful. Charles is in the band "We the Kings". Their blog started as a hobby, as these things tend to go, but it has turned into a chronicling of their battle against cancer (of which Charles is afflicted) and his wife's determination to support him through it. Hell, just typing about it chokes me up, and I don't really pay a whole lot of attention when she's tuned in to them.
EDIT: RobotUnderdog2 might be worth following. They did a video called "Ultimate Spider-man: Who is Miles Morales" that was pretty good. It didn't emphasize acting much, but the production was good. They want to do a web-series on Miles Morales, which would be fan-freaking-tastic. Marvel and Sony shut them down apparently, I'm not sure why. Maybe they somehow from it without paying the proper dues?

Speaking of which, I always thought it was kinda interesting how, when YouTube started becoming a popular website, the channels that rose the quickest were the Asian dudes', mainly KevJumba and nigahiga. Of course, their relatively high quality is mainly what brought them up there, but I also think part of the reason is because of how Asians are underrepresented (relative to their population in the US and other occidental countries) in mainstream media like TV and film. Of course, today's reality may not be quite the same, but it sure felt that way 4 to 6 years ago. And no, I forbid you to even mention podcasts in this thread! You must stay on topic! Haha, nah, of course you can talk about podcasts, other video streaming websites, or whatever online media you want to bring up. Our community is small enough not to lose focus and have posts lost forever because of off-topic flooding.

Hooray for leniency!!!
The only podcast I follow as of now is at Screenrant.com. I love these guys: Formally trained in the school of film criticism, yet deeply versed in all things geek. They do one every week to talk about the latest big budget films, but they go in pretty deep in terms of the production, behind the scenes stories, etc. They're great about not spoiling things, or warning of potential spoilers.

Sounds pretty sweet. I never got into podcasts much, I feel they're too time-consuming. Although school is almost always in the way, I can't really say I'm a busy guy... But when I have over one hour straight to spare, there are a few things I'd rather do, like watch a film, play a game, or read a book. And I also very rarely commute for a long time, so no free-time in the car or whatever.

That was me for a while. These days though I'm fortunate enough to have a job that requires a little less intensive concentration from time to time. Yeah, I pay attention to the kids' work and who knows what, but it's 7th grade math. It doesn't always take a ton of concentration.
