So here's the deal, Fox needs to stop screwing around with this show. The only way to put this bird back on course is to deputize Zsasz, give him a gun, and let him do what he feels is necessary to clean up the city. Zsasz is the best character on the show. The man is nutz, he's crazy, and he hasn't been on the show nearly enough. Okay. So now that we've established that I'm only going to say one thing about the midseason finale: anti-climactic. Will the show get a 3rd season? I dunno, so whatever they're cooking up they'd better give us some closure when the season ends.

Welp, season 3 has been ordered as the show has been renewed. When characters like Edward Nigma show up I often find myself thinking "get the f--- outta here with this B.S." Two episodes ago, you see the character at the end of the show paying a lot of extra attention to a painting or something he had burgled. It's sort of the beginning of him fully embracing his bad side. Anyway, while watching I thought to myself "if this a-hole is staring at a spray painted green question mark, I'm going to throw something at my tv". Sure enough, he was staring a green question mark he'd painted. This show, I'm telling you. If ever there's a moment for the villain to laugh maniacally, that's what he does, exactly how you'd imagine him doing it if you were trying to insult the show. Only, you can't because it's accurate.
I love kid Bruce, love Alfred, like Bullock, and I love Morena Baccarin's character Leigh. If she survives (regardless of whether she and Jim stay together), it'll be a miracle. Definitely should stop watching the show. Will I? Probably not.

Prisoners Okay, so today's episode went straight up Shawshank Redemption. It is one of the few episodes that I can say was legitimately good, for any show's standards. My father in law just watched it out of the blue, hasn't even been keeping up with Gotham, and enjoyed the crap out of it. Sad that the show can't seem to maintain this level of quality. I don't know who directed or wrote for this episode, but if they're new, get them a contract. Just make the stipulations that Zsasz has to be in each episode, Morena Baccarin must be allowed to live happily ever after, and that Nigma crosses over with David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel on Bones.

Well, well, well, look who’s done a complete 180? This guy. It’s an Ultimate Spider-man situation for me. Somehow, the show just started to be charming. It’s still dumb as shit, but what was once its great weakness has now become its great strength: it’s all DISconnected. Anything can happen on this show, and while it sometimes telegraphs its plot lines, it is beginning to have more “wft?!?” moments that end up being more satisfying than I thought the show could achieve. Bruce and Alfred are still this show’s glue for me, but Gordon and Bullock’s dynamic is also giving the show some mileage. Character’s like Edward Nigma and Penguin are back to being likeable (at least for me), and Hugo Strange’s mustache twirling villainy is getting to be very fun to watch.
More please. It’s all DISconnected! Anything can happen, and it’s very fun.

Saw the mid season finale a few days ago. It certainly has me wanting more. What will happen of Gordon now that he has killed Falcon's son ? Will Leigh ever forgive him? What does the introduction to Selina's mom signal for the future of Selina and Bruce ? What about the new rift between Nigma and Penguin? How's that going to play out ? Here's what I think will happen with regard to Gordon and Leigh: She's going to hate him. Shit's going to happen in between, but eventually Gordon will redeem himself. She will then be killed off immediately following that. Or, she will be mortally wounded, and in her dying moments will either realize Jim's innocence or intention, and then forgive him on her dying words. I hate that it's going to be that way, but knowing the way this show tends to be, the way these shows tend to be in general, that's probably the way it'll play out.

So I saw the 2 most current episodes. So far, it's okay. Jerome is back from the dead and it looks like they're doing some cool stuff there. There was a cool moment in today's episode where Selina get pissed off at Bruce and tries to goad him into a fight. He's able to avoid every strike and kick with ease, which is a cool way of showing that he has grown a lot in his combat skills. Selina has at times been made to look superhuman on this show, and her fighting abilities have helped her take down grown men throughout the series' entire run. Now, we're going to have Bruce square off against Jerome. Looks just interesting enough for people to tune in, even if they haven't seen any of the prior stuff.

Did anyone see the Gotham season 3 finale? Or is it season 4 they're on? This season seemed pretty long. Entertaining, but long. I have to give it to them. They didn't pull their punches with this one.

It’s all DISconnected! Anything can happen, and it’s very fun. I'm going to quote myself, seeing in how I'm the only one who has commented on this thread in the last couple years. I'm quoting this one because this DISconnectedness seems to be what the show embraced going forward, except it was actually very consistent starting in season 4 and on. They made some pretty satisfying callbacks too, so saying it's "DISconnected" now after the show found itself is not accurate. I really did do a 180 on this show. It managed to come around full circle and ended up being very true to the comics in the end, even if the way they got there was completely different. Batman has been done so many times, I actually really appreciate them coming in and saying "we're going to do this character in a way you haven't seen before". Batman isn't going anywhere, so why not enjoy this crazy wild ride? You know what? I'm happy that I was wrong about Morena Baccarin dying, she lived! Batman was done really well also. It was a wonderful conclusion, the series finale. Honestly, I'd watch a Dave Mazouz lead Batman show. It's not going to happen, but if it did I'd watch it. There's an Alfred show coming out called Pennyworth. That oughta be interesting. Tell you what though. Now that Gotham is over, we finally can get a live action Batman show. To be honest, I'd rather see that after Netflix gave us Daredevil anyway. Which network would do it, I dunno. Who does Warner have a partnership with? Everyone is starting a streaming platform these days anyway, right? You can do more with long form story telling, especially now that the budgets basically match blockbuster film making.
