I liked it. You can see that the special effects on the arena are going to take a lot of time. Some of the scenes look really good while others look incomplete. That excites me. I mean, I want this to be as colorful and vibrant as possible, so, so long as they don't fumble the digital enhancement I think we're in for a real treat.
I disagree with James Gunn though. His GOTG trailers 2 and 3 are among my favorite trailers for the MCU. Also, that 2nd trailer for Spider-man homecoming was awesome. Structurally I suppose it wasn't anything new, but it gave me what I was looking for: namely, Spider-man acting more like Spider-man than ever before.

Thor Ragnarok Lego Sets + Potential Plot Spoilers www.comicbookmovie.com/thor/thor_ragnarok/thor-ragnarok-lego-sets-reveal-possible-plot-details-and-the-mcu-debut-of-the-fenris-wolf-a151524We all know that the toys don't always translate to the movies. However, it happens often enough that it could go either way. The article pays attention to Hela's goons and the giant wolf, but the thing that caught my attention is the Thor minifig. No Mjolnir, but still conjuring lightning. Up until this point, MCU's God of Thunder has only had super strength and rugged good looks without the hammer. I'm hoping that that changes because I'd like to see him become more God like. The 1st Avengers film did a good job establishing his power levels in comparison with the rest of the Avengers members. Age of Ultron saw him get his ass handed to him by Ultron, who earlier in the film was fighting a pretty even fight against Cap. Granted, the version that Cap was fighting wasn't his final form, but still. I'm just saying that Thor would be more interesting all around if they gave him more otherworldly abilities.

There was a playful Twitter interaction between Gal Gadot and Chris Hemsworth on who would win between Wonder Woman and Thor. Of course, the cbm community is incapable of seeing it for what it was: harmless promotion of both franchises with an innocent, slightly flirty* twist, but it got me thinking about how much potential Ragnarok has to right the MCU's portrayal of Thor. His power levels have been the most inconsistent of all their characters. It's as though his strength fluctuates based on his opponents. Anyway, just me saying more of the same.

Saw it yesterday. I loved it. It's my favorite Marvel movie set in space. So, I guess that puts it above the Guardians' movies. Not many movies to compare it to. I can say that I've never been more entertained by another Marvel Studios film before. Also, Thor reached God level status!
