Anyone here read The Bible or have a favorite verse? My life verse is "Never stop praying", which is 1 Thessalonians 5:17

As a kid, my parents used to read the Bible to me every night. Some kick ass stories before bed time for sure. One time, around my kindergarten years my mom read this story to me and there was this scripture about our bodies turning to dust when we die. It was the first time I remember thinking about death in my life, funny enough. Scared the hell out of me for a few years, literally, until I went to college. I actually started crying (hey, I was 5) and hid under the bed.* Okay, so favorite scripture... I dunno. At the school that I teach* at, there are these cool shirts with scripture on them that our Frog Club (our school's on campus Christian club) uses. I'll have to check it out again to see which book, chapter, and verse it is, but it has something to do with not judging the importance of someone's words based on their age. It's worded really nicely, and really speaks to what they feel at that age (12-14).
*As though that was going to do any good. **Been teaching middle school math for 3 years now

I read parts of it as a kid. I don't remember much of it except that I didn't like it. The old testament in particular felt confusing and all over the place, so I never really felt immersed in the story.

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. - 1 Timothy 4:12, NIV There ya go Mr. Excellent I just typed in a few key words online and there it popped up XD
