Loved this trailer. I'll admit that I spoiled myself for the teaser with leaked material of the SDCC footage. It's for that reason that I was a little underwhelmed at the teaser trailer. Also, I was coming off of the high of the Black Panther teaser trailer, which was, IMO one of the best teasers Marvel has ever put out. The music, the costumes and colors, the action, the lack of real spoilers, that teaser was special for me. Pair that with the fact that Black Panther is arguably the MCU's best film to date because it was so focused on being it's own thing and it was almost hard for me to get excited for Infinity War.
So, I went into this trailer with some trepidation. Dear God though, were those fears put to rest. I played this trailer for all of my classes yesterday. All of them, and the funny thing was, I wasn't the only teacher doing it! In 6 hours, it broke the ticket pre-sales records that Black Panther broke a not too long ago. You have to imagine that the success of Black Panther heavily factors into that though. Still, how awesome is that?

Any death predictions?
Here's mine: Loki- tries to bargain with Thanos to save Thor and is killed by the Black Order Captain America- sacrifices himself for the team. Bucky takes his place Gomorrah- Sacrificed by Thanos for the soul stone. Since her soul is trapped in the stone, I have a theory that she will be resurrected in GOTG v. 3 because you can revive her simply by putting her soul back in her body.
I think Vision will die but come back in the same movie. They will use Wakanda tech to make it so he can live. I think the scene of him with human skin and hair is actually at the end of the movie because he is killed and then brought back.

Welcome back brother!
So, I'm going to go with Loki. He has come full circle, it's his time. Unless he's going to ride off into the sunset to cause mischief in some far off place away from Earth, I don't see him sticking around.

Saw it tonight. Epic in every sense of the word. Still in shock from the ending, and be forewarned, this is still a two-parter.

I saw it earlier today. Drove 3 hours to see it in IMAX without the 2D. Hands down, my favorite MCU film to date. By far their most ambitious film yet. The incredible thing about this movie is that everyone I know who saw the film who has been along for the ride has the same emotions. Shock, awe, and the need for more. As far as two parters go, I actually felt that this did a good job of closing out this chapter. I've never wanted to see a sequel for an MCU film more than now, which is impressive 19 films into their saga. It both ends these stories while opening the door for new ones. Hell, the big macguffin actually has more to it than we ever thought! The MCU in Phase 3 has a way of giving you new perspective's on their history that blow up your old perceptions of what you knew and make it twice as interesting as before.

Do you guys think Avengers 4 will involve time travel?

To answer your question lopli, I believe Avengers 4 will involve time travel, yes. There's set photos showing what looks like some form of the BARFing technology from Civil War (love the acronym). So there's speculation that there won't be actual time travel. However, after Ant Man and the Wasp dropped, my faith in actual time travel being used was restored. My thoughts are that the Avengers will want to be very careful and precise in the actions they take when they do travel through time. So they probably use the BARFing technology to do a couple practice runs revisiting the past before doing the real thing.
So, I just saw Infinity War again, as well as all of the bonus content that was released with the digital download on Amazon. In watching it, there were 3 things that influenced this idea I have for the opening of Avengers 4. One is from something my friend said about Pacific Rim, in which he stated that the world building on the first one is done very well. At the film's beginning you see the way that the world reacts to the first Kaiju's. Each culture has their own way of dealing with the fact that giant monsters came up through this rift at the bottom of the ocean, and it's very interesting to see each culture's handling of this event. The second thing that influenced my idea is this quote from the bonus content of Infinity War, where the Russos say they want to bring their characters to their lowest point just before they must face their greatest challenge. Inevitably, they fail but will have to come back stronger to gain victory. Basically, the hero's journey. The third thing that came to mind is the opening of Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. Granted, I wasn't in love with the movie, but the opening was wonderfully executed.
From those things, I envisioned Avengers 4 opening like this: The world is still numb from the snap. While time has moved on, the fallout has lasting ramifications. The beginning of our opening scene doesn't focus on any of the main cast but rather the rituals from nations all over the world commemorating those who were lost (the Pacific Rim inspiration). This is the part where we see our heroes at their lowest. They do their best to move on, but there's no getting over their ultimate failure (the heroes journey). Avengers 4 is said to be the biggest film in cinematic history, bigger than Infinity War, so the ritual commemoration of those lost in the snap doesn't stop at an international scale. Once we've seen how the Earth mourns, we branch out and get a glimpse at different cultures across the universe to see how they memorialize those lost in the snap (inspired by the opening scene in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets). I imagine this scene doesn't have to any any dialogue. The scene ends by returning to earth and visiting each of our remaining, living heroes to set the stage for the rest of the film. Then the title card pops up, whatever the title ends up being.
I don't know how easy that description was to follow, but for those who tried, what do you all think?

Good questions. I dunno man, I dunno. There's some really good speculation on Loki not being dead. Some articles and videos are better than others, but by far the best I've seen is this one:
