Will Smith and Margot Robbie were the best part of the original Suicide Squad, by design I suppose. Too bad he's not coming back.

Man of Steel, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman are my favorites. Aquaman is the most fun, it's a hell of a movie with some ridiculous silly stuff in it, but I loved the heck out of the movie. Man of Steel is the most ambitious of the bunch in terms of story and characterization, and I still think people are too closed minded about what Snyder was trying to do with the character. It's a more profound movie than the other 2 in the list IMO. I enjoyed the Wonder Woman movie quite a bit too though. I think in terms of executing its vision, it's the best of the three. Word is that Shazam is a lot of fun.

For sure, it's a visual wonder. I'd call it an action adventure film that feels like an Indiana Jones movie times 5. What it does for Aquaman in terms of action and spectacle reminds me of what Snyder did for Superman on those terms. Some felt Man of Steel had too much action and that it was overkill. I can see those people's perspective even though I enjoyed MOS, and I want to be cautious not to associate Aquaman with that. I'm just saying, the level of action rivals that of Infinity War by somehow managing to feel just as big. Even though Aquaman takes place entirely on earth, it's like, "You think you know this planet you live on??? Hold my beer!"
Even still, the movie can be a little quirky sometimes and there are moments that feel unintentionally funny. It's one of the few movies that's so entertaining to me though that it doesn't really matter.

Cast update: Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, and Jai Courtney all set to return, and Idris Elba is expected to play a new character instead of Deadshot. www.cbr.com/suicide-squad-deadshot-james-gunn-reboot/I'm glad Davis is back. I'm hoping Courtney gets more time to shine as Boomerang since he was pretty entertaining. I can take or leave Kinnaman.

Didn't James Gunn say it wasn't a sequel though? I mean, common sense says it is, but the director is saying otherwise. What the heck is it?? Edit: Maybe it wasn't Gunn, but this is just one of many articles that were coming out a few weeks back: collider.com/james-gunn-suicide-squad-2-reboot/

This looks like it's going to be fun; really feels like Gunn is bringing a more comic book feel compared to the first one. From a small taste, I look forward to how the characters, old and new, are handled.
