comicbookmovie.com/avengers/avengers-the-kang-dynasty/avengers-the-kang-dynastys-lead-rumored-to-be-spider-man-after-tom-holland-signs-massive-new-secret-deal-a200578This makes me so happy. I saw that Daniel Destin Cretton tweeted about gravitating toward Spider-man when he was a kid. Honestly, one of my favorite things about Spider-Man as a character is just watching him move across screen. He's one of the most captivating characters to simply watch in all of fiction. One thing I have been eagerly awaiting in the MCU though is Peter's ability to fight using hand to hand combat. I loved seeing him go up against those drones in Far From Home, and I loved seeing him put on his big boy hat to knock the snot out of the Green Goblin. However, it's about time this boy learned some proper technique, don't you all think? Maybe he can learn a little of the sweet science (boxing) or some Muay Thai from Matt Murdoch? Maybe Shang Chi can show him a little Wing Chun, I dunno. There's so much potential for Spider-man on screen visually that still hasn't been tapped into. I'm still waiting for them to use his wall crawling abilities and acrobatics in a way that drops jaws. So far, we've had fun with it, but I'm talking Winter Soldier level fighting while wall crawling. The mind gets lost in the possibilities. All I'm saying is, who better to capture some badass Spider-man hand to hand combat action than the director of Shang Chi himself? I loved the way that guy brought the fight scenes to life in his movie, as I said above.

Jonathan Majors fired by Marvel Studios following guilty verdict in domestic abuse case: www.cbr.com/jonathan-majors-officially-fired/I don't know if Disney just has more integrity or they were waiting to see how it played out, but I'm surprised after how much WB tried to save face with Ezra Miller and Amber Heard. It's a shame his life went down this road. Between Loki and Quantumania as He Who Remains, Kang, and Timely, he had such range and I see why he was cast to begin with. While it's another major blow for Marvel recently, I wouldn't doubt they've made contingency plans. There's the Doctor Doom rumors which I'd be down for, but recasting Kang isn't improbable with the multiverse in play. Hell, bring back Chukwudi Iwuji and say High Evolutionary was a variant; I thought after seeing him in Guardians 3 that he would have been a good Kang.

A lot of people were saying that of Iwuji, he certainly left a mark. I'm bummed bout Major's, but honestly, depending on the variant he was playing I thought he was hit or miss. The Kang in Quantumania was by far my favorite, but outside of that I was somewhat put off by his creative choices. What's the Black Manta actor's name from Aquaman? I'd be down to see him if Marvel chooses to recast. He was incredible in the HBO Watchmen series.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, but Marvel already has him set to play Wonder Man (I liked him in Watchmen too).
