This is a huge bummer. Marvel could've used this right now to get the GA back into peak hype mode. Not that the MCU could've sustained that level of success forever, but they can definitely get it back.

This one confuses me considering the writers strike. However, if the studio feels like this movie is going to be a "strength" that they want the public reacting to, something they want to influence people when they're thinking about seeing another Marvel Studios picture... then I guess that makes me even more excited to see it.

While I think it'll be as good as its predecessors, the writer's strike may mean it won't be as strong. From what I've read, Ryan won't be able to improv lines like he did before, so they're probably just shooting what's directly on the script and may not be able to do reshoots if needed. Granted, the strike could end with time for none of this to not be a problem. While it's cool we're getting this one earlier, I do agree it's strange that this would be pushed up rather than delayed like the other films recently.
But then there's the potential actor's strike looming by July. I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Hollywood's really gonna need to do some introspection if they lose both writers and actors.

For sure. If Deadpool knocks it out of the park though, that absence should make the heart grow fonder and maybe feed into to the GA's appetite and hunger for more MCU products again. Might help with the fatigue, which definitely is a real thing.
I used to believe otherwise, but the reality is, there has always been a fatigue of blockbuster sequel fare, regardless of genre. Even when Marvel Studios was hitting, I feel like we all knew people who just couldn't get into it. These are the same people who can't be bothered to watch the Star Wars movies after 40 freakin years, appreciate or at least acknowledge the LOTR franchise, etc. It just is the way it is.
That said, Marvel has almost all of its most important IP under their roof now, and DC is finally being lead with someone who has a plan and credentials in the genre. It's foolish to think superhero movies don't at least have a chance of making one more big splash in the zeitgeist before the genre burns out.

That's probably why 2021 was such a fun year. After a year of nothing, we got 4 movies and 5 shows so we were eating well. But I think that's part of the issue too. With the shows actually connecting to the movies now compared to before, it feels like it's taking longer to get to an Avengers level payoff, which it is since Marvel seemed to be banking on the long game for Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars. Doing a plan where Secret Invasion was a crossover movie before that may have helped alleviate such pains.

Deadpool & Wolverine:
Yes! The action looks great! I wasn't the biggest fan of the choreography on the first two films. Enjoyed the movies, but I thought they could've done better with the execution of the hand to hand stuff. This looks to be an improvement, but it's hard to tell from just a teaser. I'm excited! Seeing Wade in the TVA looking at footage of the actual Avengers?!? Holy Crap! I'm in.

The "Marvel Jesus" line turns out to be so fitting, since this is being looked at the film that will save the MCU. Also cool they're saving Logan for the next trailer. Can't have too much awesome at once.

* I'm going to also call this "Marvel Jesus and the X-Man". * Kinda looks like they're going for a more accurate Old Man Logan world (poor Scott). * I feel like this film is going to be the proper send-off for the Fox X-Men series before Marvel goes full reboot. At the risk of setting high expectations, this could be on the level of Endgame and No Way Home, doing for X-Men what those films did for the MCU up to that point and the whole Spidey franchise, respectively. Going further, if Endgame was the culmination of what Iron Man started, then Secret Wars may be the culmination of what X-Men started for Marvel movies all the way back in 2000 (I know Blade technically started the modern era, but we'll see if Wesley Snipes makes a legacy cameo). All we need now is Hugh and Tobey on screen together. * LET'S FUCKING GO!
