The Fantastic Four will tell the tale of two very young friends, Reed Richards and Ben Grimm. After an event transforms the boys, they find themselves empowered with bizarre new abilities. Reed becomes a scientific genius who can stretch, twist and re-shape his body to inhuman proportions. Ben becomes a monstrous, craggy humanoid with orange, rock-like skin and super-strength. However, the two end up being owned by the government and used as weapons. But after they mature, two others with powers come into the picture – Sue Storm “The Invisible Girl” and Johnny Storm “The Human Torch.” Despite Trank saying this synopsis was fake, Fox has been sending out cease and desist letters: www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/nailbiter111/news/?a=93960Which is a little strange for a fake synopsis.

Sure does sound a little overkill for "nothing." Hmm...

It sounds like Fox are going to play fast and loose with the origins.

At the moment, it seems the film won't be part of the X-Men universe. screencrush.com/fantastic-four-x-men/I know what's gonna happen. Fox will wait and see how this one does, and if it somehow does well, they'll slowly bring them together. The more likely, and preferred, outcome though is that it will bomb and the rights go back to Marvel. Honestly though, the main thing this film had going for me was that it was connected to the X-Men. But since it doesn't seem to be at the moment, I don't feel any obligation to see it unless they do. Seriously though, if they're not gonna crossover, then what's the point? Might as well just give them back to Marvel to do it right.
