Blink 182, my favorite punk rock band. I love em, but to be honest I don't really listen to their earlier material, before Travis came along in 1998. I am currently in the process of familiarizing myself, but anyway,
their new album is coming out next year (there's no way they're going to finish before 2011) and I think we have a lot good things to expect from them. Any one here like Blink? If so, which albums? Are there any songs that stand alone by themselves, even if you don't like the band?

Definitely not my favorite band by far, but I like some of their older stuff.

Dammit! I missed it by like, 7 days........ It's just that there were so many fakes being posted (for months) that I got tired of looking. the album is supposed to hit stores in September, and come August the single will be released for real.

Admittedly, after the initial excitement from Neighborhoods wore off I realized how disconnected the album was. The band was recording in separate studios, and the music really just didn't come together. Apparently though, last year they released an EP called "Dogs Eating Dogs". It feels like a step in the right direction for sure. Definitely a progression from where they left off. I love it.
Here's the full EP:

So I was reading over at Wikipedia that Tom's Angels and Airwaves projects were the cause of delay of their 7th album earlier this year. Then recently, I guess Travis tweeted about them collaborating through instagram. That kind of pisses me off, but maybe I'm just being an entitled fan boy. It's just that their latest full length album "Neighborhoods" suffered due to their lack of collaboration in the same studio. They kept sending shit to each other electronically, and it really shows in their music that they weren't thinking as a unit. Hell, they've come out and admitted as much, and even talked about how Dogs Eating Dogs was a return to form for them working together and being in the same building while making the music. I know that nowadays a lot of music is made that way (including pieces from their earlier work). I just hope that they don't do so much long distance collaboration that we end up with a result similar to their last outing. Just hoping the collaboration process would be a little different for them this time. We'll see.
