Not sure if I'll add it or not, but this variant cover for Earth 2 #1 has caught my interest: I think I'll need more info first.

First off, I am indeed adding Earth Two to my pulllist. Now then, DC is apparently planning a new Zero Month for the first anniversary of the New 52: www.bleedingcool.com/2012/04/19/dc-comics-launch-zero-issues-for-september/All issues will be #0 in September, featuring events that happened before #1, with regular numbering resuming in October. I guess this is will be yet another attempt for people to jump on board if they hadn't already the year before. Should be interesting though.

So the Zero month won't just be flashbacks for the current titles, but also introduce the 3rd Wave of the New 52, once again replacing 4 current titles with 4 new ones. One of the series cancelled announced is Justice League International: www.dccomics.com/blog/2012/06/08/introducing-dc-comics-the-new-52-0-monthTALON - Co-Writers: Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV. Artist: Guillem March. Meet Calvin Rose, the only Talon to ever escape the grasp of the Court of Owls. This former assassin of the Court is trying to live a normal life ... but that’s impossible when he’s being hunted by his former masters! SWORD OF SORCERY – Writer: Christy Marx. Artist: Aaron Lopresti. Featuring the return of Amethyst, Amy Winston leads a strange life on the road with her mother and resents it. She’s about to learn it’s all been necessary when she discovers she’s the lost princess of Gemworld—and she’s being hunted by her murderous aunt. With a back-up story written by Tony Bedard with art by Jesus Saiz, set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, the monstrous warrior Beowulf is charged with finding and defeating the evil Grendel. THE PHANTOM STRANGER - Writer: Dan DiDio. Artist: Brent Anderson. Spinning out of his recent appearances in JUSTICE LEAGUE and DC’s Free Comic Book Day story, learn more about the true origin of The Phantom Stranger and his connection to the mysterious Pandora. TEAM SEVEN - Writer: Justin Jordan. Artist: Jesus Merino. Set in the early days of DC COMICS-THE NEW 52, threads of the entire DC Universe collide. As Superman emerges, so does the world’s counter measures against him and his kind. Team 7 is comprised of Dinah Lance, Amanda Waller, Steve Trevor, John Lynch, Alex Fairchild, Cole Cash and Slade Wilson — and their story will change everything you know about DC COMICS-THE NEW 52.

Presenting the new JLA: www.newsarama.com/comics/new-justice-league-of-america.htmlJustice League of America will be an ongoing series written by Geoff Johns and drawn by David Finch.
"This is a very different kind of team book,” said Geoff Johns in a press release. “On first glance, people might think the heroes of the Justice League of America stand in the shadows of Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Justice League, but Green Arrow, Katana, Martian Manhunter, the new Green Lantern, Stargirl, Vibe, Hawkman and Catwoman thrive in the shadows.
“They're underdogs who have everything to prove and something to lose. They're a team of unlikely heroes who will help one another discover they're as A-List as anybody -- yes, even Vibe. Though getting there won't be easy.
“Why they're formed, why each member joins, what they're after and who the society of villains is they're trying to take apart will all be clear in the first issue when it hits early 2013. David and I are really focused on delving deep into what it's like to not be a member of the big seven and why, sometimes, the grass isn't always greener on the other side.”
Does this announcement make it more likely 2013’s Trinity War will indeed be between the Justice League, the new Justice League of America and Justice League Dark?Damn you DC. They sure know how to take my money. I'm not 100% sold on this yet, but I most likely will get it especially if it ties in to Trinity War.

Looks like DC's prepping up for the Fourth Wave in February, as Blue Beetle, Frankenstein, Grifter, and Legion Lost are all to be cancelled in January: www.newsarama.com/comics/dc-cancels-frank-grifter-legion-lost-blue-beetle-jan-2013.htmlDC also cancelled GI Combat beforehand in December, with the new cosmic title Threshold filling out the 52 in January. As for what will be part of the fourth wave? Well, it's already been confirmed Justice League of America will start then. Scott Snyder and Jim Lee's Superman book (rumored to be called Man of Steel) is also a good bet. I've also heard rumors of a new Superman/Batman team-up book. Not sure what the other one could be. Part of me kinda hopes for a Red Robin book as it was hinted at over the weekend at NYCC.

In addition to I, Vampire and DC Universe Presents ending in April, many more titles are ending soon: Fury of Firestorm, Ravagers, Savage Hawkman, Deathstroke, Sword of Sorcery, and Team 7. www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=43640Must say I'm surprised in alot of ways. 8 cancellations is the most of any wave so far, not to mention some titles seem to be ending so soon while others I didn't think would. I wonder what's all gonna replace them. Snyder and Lee's Superman is a definite, and I heard JLI may be coming back too.

Greg Pak and Jae Lee restart the Batman/Superman team-up book in June: www.usatoday.com/story/life/2013/02/21/batman-superman-comic-book-series/1935817/I might add this, but I'm a little confused about the premise of the first arc. If I'm recall correctly, they first meet when Darkseid attacked, and Superman was already in his Kryptonian armor and not the shirt/jeans look. Eh, I can probably overlook that continuity discrepancy. Also, if anyone's interested, it was also announced yesterday that a Larfleeze book by Keith Giffen will be starting in June too.
