Avengers: 8/10
After seeing it twice, I think I've settled on it now. T'was fun (interesting character interaction and great action), those 8 points are all for the fun factor.

i like to compare it to an animated movie, which when good get across the board praise because there is nothing to not like about them which is why most good animated films get great RT scores, but their average score is around 8/10 or 3.5/5. very solid movies nothing against the avengers or animated films. there is just something very light about it all.

Men in Black 3 - 7/10.
I was surprised by this, much better than I was expecting. Josh Brolin really stole the show despite the plot being a little ridiculous. Frank the Pug didn't make an appearence this time around though.

Prometheus: 9/10
CGI: 10/10 Props and sets: 10/10 Acting: 9/10 Story: 8/10 Scripting: 8/10 Overall fun factor: 8/10
I wouldn't be surprised if this film won an Oscar for visual effects. I was hoping it'd blow my mind a little more in the story department, but it was definitely smarter than most summer movies. If you tally up my scores, 88% is more accurate, but for the sake of simplicity, I gave the film a 9.

21 Jump Street: 7/10. It had a lot of stupid humor, but structurally it was an impressive film. The jokes they established at the beginning really paid off at the end for me. That, and there were some really funny cameos that I wasn't expecting. That's all I'll say about that.
The Amazing Spider-man: 8/10. After my first viewing I was really tempted to give it a 7/10. On the one hand I was intoxicated by the performances turned in by the film's cast, on the other hand there were some loose plot threads and short comings with the film's villain that really, really disappointed me. However, upon a second viewing I have to say that the film never lost its footing.
There were moments that gave me a few scares, just things that should've been done better, but they were over pretty quickly and the movie continued to be a heartfelt, thoughtful look at the character of Peter Parker. The Amazing Spider-man is a good movie, and it stands above the cheap comparisons to half baked teen romance films because of its direction, acting, and solid script. I had my day or two of being jaded, now I'm back on the train. Bring on the next one.
Oh, this time I saw the film in 3D. The 3D wasn't necessary for most of the film, but let me say that when the web swinging kicks in, the 3D is incredible. Every bit as good as you'd want it to be, it's really awesome. It's definitely worth checking out in both formats, even if the 3D doesn't kick in all that often.

The Amazing Spider-man: 8.5/10
You can see my review in the thread for the movie. It was very satisfying and just a really enjoyable movie over all.

Yeah, I'd give in an 8.
Oh, and I give the Avengers an 7 for very different reasons.

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog: 8/10.
Great. If I was a writer, I'd want to do something wacky and out of the ordinary for myself too. Maybe not a musical, but this just really shows Joss Whedon's range.

I watched Indie Game The Movie last night, got it during the steam sale. I thought it was a very neat insight into the making of games that I've played and enjoyed, and it helps to look through the eyes of the developers, to sorta see the emotional journey that they went down when making the games. I'd recommend it to anyone who's at all interested in Game development, or simply games in general.

The Dark Knight Rises- 8.5/10
Even when Christopher Nolan doesn't rise to the occasion, he always brings a good script, excellent cinematography, brilliant actors, and a heck of a story. After viewing the film a second time, I definitely noticed a lack of a connection, between myself and the film, while viewing. A lot of the so-called plot holes that the film has are non-existent though, but that's more because people fail to understand what a plot hole actually is.
Still though, this movie was missing something that the other two movies had. Regardless, I appreciate that Nolan kept the intelligence level up for this film. Bane scared me as intended, and Batman made me cheer.

American Psycho - 8/10 Many may know this film as the source of this popular meme: For others they may know of it for the off the wall crazy performance by Christian Bale. So does the film surpass the jokes it created? Well, yeah. I definitely recommend the film for Bale's performance alone, his journey through insanity is morbidly entertaining, but the characters can seem so surreal that the mindless slaughter really is guiltless fun… that said the film also has some very successful horror elements and bulk of the middle is not a time to laugh. Overall though this is a wildly clever film. The satire is sharp and hilarious and Bale is simply a must watch. I would go into more detail, but I feel like I wouldn't give it justice. it's something so crazy you have to figure it out yourself.

American Psycho went over my head the first time I saw it. I've only seen it once, actually, so I should watch it again. I did enjoy the scene where Bale compares business cards with his associates.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: /10 Tell me if I'm wrong here, but this movie seems to require one of three things (I said just one mind you): 1. Having actually read the book. 2. Having grown up in the 60s and 70s to understand the culture 3. Knowing drug culture and the effects of psychedelic substances on the brain. I have none of these, and so I have no idea where to begin talking about this movie. The only movie I've seen that rivals its weirdness is "A Scanner Darkly" with Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson, and Keanu Reeves. It doesn't feel like a bad movie at all. In fact, it was really creative in the way that it showed the drug trips take effect. It is, however, something that I'll probably never watch again. Strange movie, really good performances, really far out there as it's intended to be.
