Thought I might as well make an official thread for it. This is the new Season 9 intro with Ashton Kutcher:
Thoughts?

Whoever did Ashton's singing voice hurts my ears. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the season's premiere next week. Pretty sure it'll get big ratings too.

What the hell are you talking about? I've watched the show since it started. I obviously know that's the theme song. And you know they don't actually sing the theme right? For example, Elizabeth Daily did Jake's singing voice for the theme when it first started. I'm just saying that hearing this the first time, I'm not liking who did Ashton's singing voice. Listening to it a few more times though, it's starting to grow on me.

The reviews are in. Variety was overall pleased with the result.
“The producers look to have handled an awkward situation about as well as they possibly could... don't be surprised if Men manages to keep on humming," reviewer Brian Lowry wrote.
TV Line was less impressed.
“Is there as much humour to be mined from a goofy, well-endowed billionaire as there was from a not-as-wealthy jingle writer who seemed to satisfy women just as easily? Early indicators suggest no," reviewer Matt Webb Mitovich said.
HollywoodLife was far more positive.
“Charlie Sheen has mentioned Ashton Kutcher is ‘going to do great’ on Two and a Half Men. And I’m thrilled to report after watching the show’s season premiere, Ashton IS great and is the perfect Charlie replacement!," reviewer Russ Weakland said.
Cafemom also applauded Kutcher.
“We have Ashton who is by no means Charlie Sheen, and he’s playing a character totally unlike Charlie Harper (hooray). If Ashton Kutcher is stereotyped, it’s not as a Charlie Sheen replacement. And that’s a relief," reviewer Jeanne Sager said.
About to see it shortly...

You know what... it wasn't too bad actually. Nice to see all the girlfriends at the funeral. Ashton Kutcher's (or Walden) first scene was probably the best scene of the episode, poor Charlie all over the floor. The cameos were okay (John Stamos, Jenna Elfman, Thomas Gibson), nudity is cleary going to be a big part of the new season I have fears that it will become repetive though. I hope Rose remains as a Regular. It's hard to judge if the series will survive but it's an okay start despite some people saying it's doomed already. Watching Sheen's Roast now.

I liked it. I can't believe how many guest stars they got for the funeral. I just knew Alan would drop Charlie. He should've waited til he got outside to open it.

I wish I had seen the beginning of the episode. But I saw the end of it, and I liked it. I don't watch the show really, but I've caught enough episodes to get the feel of it. The series seems to have retained its trade mark flare, and I agree with the Cafemom critic who said that Kutcher's character is not a Charlie Harper wannabe. I hope the show survives, I can see myself casually watching it.
