Maybe they'll show them like the "Revolution" was shown at the first E3; I don't think they'll be as fleshed out as the Wii U was at E3 2011. I'm not expecting the 360 successor before late 2013 and the PS3 successor before 2014.

Apparently the PS4 will feature an anti-used game system, offer no backwards-compatibility with PlayStation 3 titles, and ship in holiday 2013. Full PS4 games will be available via Blu-ray disc or as a PlayStation Network download, and will be locked to a single PSN account. Players will not be able to circumvent the system by remaining offline, as the source said users will be forced to be connected to the PSN to boot up their games. news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57406063-1/next-playstation-to-lock-out-used-games-report-says/That honestly sounds horrible.

That doesn't even make sense to be honest. I hope yhere's no truth in it. If anything, it'll drive people away. Was Sony not happy with the fact that they were still making money from their PS2 system for so many years after the next wave of systems came out?

Online is taking over. Even split screen is rare in games, I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be true eventually. Maybe not for 4 but some system in the future.

well you have to ask yourself. are you buying a PS4 to play PS4 games or PS3 games?
i know people want to get up the cash and probably sell their old system, but seriously what is the point? I have the first PS3 and it can play PS2 games, but i don't play PS2 games. it was a stupid argument in the first place.
the world is going digital anyways no need to force what is about to happen anyways.

The lack of backwards compatibility doesn't bother me, but the inability to play used games is the dumbest fucking thing I've ever heard. About half of my games I buy used.
