I really hope Marvel didn't agree to this deal... releasing yet another reboot in 2017 is a bad idea. Not to mention the fact that Sony still has some creative control over the character.

- The deal that was being discussed between Sony and Marvel:
Spidey appears in Civil War, Sony will co-finance 25% of the movie.
Marvel would then co-finance 25% of Spider-Man's next solo film (release date: July 2017).
Sony would be able to use two Marvel Studios characters in the solo film (which would continue the plot from Civil War).
Spidey would appear in Infinity War Part 1 and another Marvel produced solo Spidey film would come out in July 2019.
Sony want approval over Spidey's costume, parts of the script involving Spidey and the casting/
Kevin Feige would be a producer.
Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach would be executive producers.
Drew Goddard would write and direct the first solo movie.
The actor playing Spidey would have to sign a 3 picture deal.
The deal is terminated if a Marvel Studios' film (featuring Spider-Man) misses its release date (Sony would also receive $100 million in damages).
The deal would be announced at a press event by both studios.
