Yeah, I'm rather disappointed by that decision, but what can you do.

I wanted to wait til something about the dub was released to post anything. I was worried that with the rights shifting between studios we weren't going to get the original cast, but hallelujah, we got Johnny and Yuri and the whole gang back. I hope there's a showing in my area.

Well I missed out on the theatrical showings last year, and while it took FOR-FREAKING-EVER for the home release, I have finally watched this movie. You guys know how much I love this anime, and in the 11 years since the finale aired, I've rewatched the series numerous times. For the first new material in over a decade, "Re;surrection" reminded me how much I love this, and quite specifically Lelouch. By god, to watch that glorious bastard do his thing again made me so giddy. Story wise, it's a worthy continuation of the original story and brings up what someone here (sorry, can't remember who) wanted from a sequel: a plausible threat to the peaceful world Lelouch helped create. Said threat not only works because they have valid, albeit selfish, motivation, but it's one that ties into both the world at large and C's World and the Geass mythology. (BTW, the C's World stuff is still as confusing as it was before, though it'll probably make more sense on repeated viewings.) Plus, it's one that unites the original cast of characters who made it through the original story, symbolic of the Zero Requiem's desired effect. There is one thing to keep in mind; this movie follows the events of the recap trilogy of movies that retold the series and made some changes. One of those changes is Shirley lived. She doesn't play a major part in this movie, but I feel the need to state that in case anyone goes in blind. Anyway, I hope you guys check it out and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and we can get some Geass discussion going again.

I'll watch it if aliensuit1495 comes back, lol. Just kidding. I'm not opposed to watching this. It'd probably be over the summer or Spring Break, but I'd watch it just to talk about it with you guys.
