So, this is exactly what it sounds like. We don't comment on here enough or keep up with Marvel's current slate enough to warrant new threads for every show. Honestly, I'm having a hard time even keeping up with what titles actually have series. Just naming them is a challenge. That's life, right? So, here's a thread where we can just talk about whatever new show they have going on. Here's hoping they come up with something worth creating its own thread over.
This morning I watched 3 Episode of Black Panther's Quest, which is a spin off(?) or continuation (?) of Marvel's Avengers' Assemble. What a weird show that has turned out to be. It has undergone an animation style change, tie ins that tied in to older shows that ended and then, Avengers Assemble tied into their replacements. I'm sure there's a precedent with DC. Even Earth's Mightiest Heroes had some funky stuff going on with Spider-Man. Anyway, I really liked the 3 episodes that I saw. The animation change, while simpler, actually allows for some very fluid and awesome action. Panther is a beast in this series, and Thor was given his due in a battle that ensued between the two. I'm not going to say the story was great or the most original. Some things are blatantly taken from Batman, like Panther disappearing in the middle of a conversation and then supporting characters commenting about it. Or, having contingency plans against all of his friends. However, I love that they take us to Wakanda, in the same way other shows take you to their mystical lands. It's not just another fictitious metropolitan area, and from what I've seen they've laid into it the way they should have years ago.
I'm seeing that Maximum Carnage is about to come out soon, so I'll probably get back into Spider-Man soon and comment on the Spider-Man thread when time permits. Be well everyone.
