Beauty and the Beast (directed by Christophe Gans)
There's an English trailer, but watching it in its native french was awesome. Apparently the movie came out 2 years ago but is just now getting a U.S. release. When I looked it up on Amazon, there were 19 reviews, with only 1 negative and 2 lukewarm. If I'm being honest, the prospects of this movie are a lot more exciting to me than Disney's. While I'm thrilled that Disney is finally doing a live action version of the film and I do look forward to theirs, I suspect this one won't have as many restrictions on it. Too bad you can't pay to stream it right now, as it costs $50 for physical copy.

I can't wait to see what they do with Vader in this film! I also want to know more about the grand admiral with the white cape draped over him

Yeah they're really knocking it out of the park aesthetically.

Do you guys think Vader's role in the film will be significant at all, or will it be more like Joker in Suicide Squad?

Do you guys think Vader's role in the film will be significant at all, or will it be more like Joker in Suicide Squad? Arrival: Amy Adams, Forrest Whitaker, Jeremy Renner I had no idea this movie was a, well, movie until people at Collider started talking about it. Then my father in law and some friends were discussing the trailer, and a few days later I took it upon myself to check out the trailer... Oh my God, it looks amazing, gave me Goosebumps. It's from the producers or director of Sicario and Prisoners. Still want to see Sicario, heard it was fantastic and know it was up for some recognition last year. Prisoners I did see, and while it's not a movie I'd revisit, Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal are great in it as are the rest of the cast. So pumped for November, which is shaping up to be a badass month for movies this year (if they turn out to be as good as they look).

Ah man, lopli... I meant to answer your question in my above post, which is why I quoted you, haha. I meant to say that I think in terms of screen time, I wouldn't be surprised if they ended up being in the film around the same amount. However, I think Vader will be more central to the main story than Joker was though. Like, I don't think Vader will be on screen a lot, but his presence will be felt and the story will actually focus on what he's trying to accomplish. Joker really didn't seem to be the main focus of Suicide Squad, but because the movie pretty much belonged to Harley Quinn and Deadshot, you felt the Joker's presence a lot any way.

Suicide Squad focused so much on Harley and Deadshot that I feel like the rest of the characters were kind of a waste. You could very easily take out the other four characters and fill in the gaps in screen time and replace it with more Joker and Batman and it would've made a good Arkham Asylum movie haha Funny that you say that, cause I did find that the animated "Batman: Assault on Arkham" film to be the better Suicide Squad film. But yeah, some characters were a waste or didn't get time to shine. Slipknot was just there to die and Katana literally had no point to be there. Boomerang had potential but was outshine by the others; I'm hoping he appears in the Flash movie. Croc was about what I expected. El Diablo was great though.

Anyone notice how last year The Martian, which was a great space based sci-fi from Ridley Scott and Drew Goddard, came out in October. Now this year we're getting a really interesting looking outer space related sci-fi in November? Two years before that it was Gravity, which was October too. Have there always been strong space based sci-fi's coming out in the October-November months, or is this a recent trend? The box office has definitely ventured beyond the summer, especially if we're talking superhero films.

El Diablo wasn't bad. I haven't noticed that excellent, but it's a good observation. Maybe next year it'll come out in December haha

From my understanding, the reason movie studios aren't focusing their big blockbusters in summer as much as they used to is due to the rapid growth of the Chinese movie-going audience.

Passengers (Chris Pratt, Jennifer Lawrence)
It's hard to tell who the bigger star is at the moment. Pratt is coming from Jurassic World and Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as Parks & Rec. Meanwhile, Lawrence is an Oscar award winning and multi-nominated actress with the Hunger Games and X-Men series under her belt. Pratt's star still seems to be rising while Lawrence has undergone somewhat of a cooling period. Either way, this trailer caught my attention. As far as 2016-2017 straight up sci-fi's go (that aren't Star Wars and SW spin-offs), it's this and Valerian: City of 1000 Planets seem to be the 2 most anticipated. That said, I'm still more excited for Amy Adams' film Arrival.

Transformers: The Last Knight
I've lost faith in this franchise. That said, damn, Michael Bay's marketing teams sure do know how to put out a trailer. The guys over at Collider are always joking about how they feel the same, but get pumped up after a trailer comes out any way. That's not what's happening here with me. I'm just saying, damn, that's a good looking trailer for a movie I have no intention of seeing.

The movies are just so poorly written. Especially the endings. I didn't understand Megatron's purpose in Dark of the Moon at all. He literally just sat around, then he gets straight up murdered by Optimus Prime, and so does Sentinel Prime. Optimus Prime pretty much kills them execution style. I also hated Revenge of the Fallen. They build up Fallen to be this epic villain and then they literally kill him in less than five minutes of fighting screen time. What was the point of that?
