I not surprised Activision killed it. They have been getting poor sales since 2009. As for the future of Rock Band, as long as they keep on selling the games, I reckon they will make more of them.

i've always preferred Guitar Hero over Rock Band, mainly because i like songs simply with guitar solos like "Cliffs of Dover" so its kinda sad knowing that its finally over

Idiots. Still, I like these games. You can get together with friends and rock out to good songs; like karoke with instruments.

That's an overstatement.
Lopli, all the people you seem to know are really really dumb. I don't get it, do you live in a city where all the idiots gather?
I don't know a single person who thinks Guitar Hero introduced rock.

The franchise is not dead: www.neoseeker.com/news/16215-activision-guitar-hero-isnt-dead-yet/"Actually, just to clarify, we're just putting Guitar Hero on hiatus, we're not ending it. We're releasing products out of the vault--we'll continue to sustain the channel, the brand won't go away. We're just not making a new one for next year, that's all."

They should make a Guitar Hero for KISS.
