"Marvel's Avengers Assemble reunites the most popular super hero team -- Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow, along with newcomer Falcon, marking the first time in animation history this distinct team of heroes will join forces. Led by Iron Man, the heroes train and live together in their new headquarters in Avengers Tower. The planet's most dangerous villains don't stand a chance when the Avengers assemble - whether they are stopping Dr. Doom from conquering Asgard, Attuma driving the Atlantean Army into New York City or Dracula unleashing vampire hordes, the Avengers must work together to succeed."

So first two episodes aired today. My initial thought: not bad. It didn't excite me as much as the premiere of EMH did, but it was a good intro to the series, especially with Skull setting up the Cabal. It definitely shows Marvel is trying to be more serious with this compared to Ultimate Spider-Man.
Just to clarify, the series is NOT a continuation of EMH. Red Skull has just now made his 'return from the grave' and Sam has just now become Falcon.
Other comments: *Don't like Stark's voice. *Widow looks weird without gloves. *Does Marvel has something against opening theme songs now?

caught up and while i was not the biggest fan of EMH this was far worse of a premiere.
the art was a step up, but dang was it sloppy in parts. characters would totally lose their form some times it was riduclous.
the writing wasn't that great either. i'd go as far as to say it kind of sucked. the fact they used "avenge" 3 times in difference sentences without reference to their team name is just embarrassing. nobody talks like that! "You Avenged, me Tony…"
really? and once again Cap gets a subpar adaption. He always comes off as so hokey in the cartoons. he acts like this perfectly designed patriot man instead of an actual character. personal gripe, i know, design was cool, but it bugs me so much that they make him so distant from ordinary people.
Another thing that EMH has way over this series is a the sense of humor. This show tried and failed nearly every time. Every joke fell completely flat to me, unlike EMH.
Positives would again be the character designs, but the caveat is the animation is inconsistent. The plotting was pretty good. I like the idea of Skull with an Iron Man suit, makes him more of a threat. MODOK who I have no idea why anyone likes the character was far less grating than usual and being a technokenetic had a real purpose. He just looks so damn stupid is all. Whoever came up with the giant headed characters should go lay down in a hole for a while because its a stupid trend among comics.

Positives: Animation is an improvement. The video kept freezing on me, so I didn’t really notice the inconsistency in animation quality due to my frustration with the player. Chi McBride is still voicing Nick Fury, which is nice. Thor’s voice is pretty good too.
Complaints: The writing does suck, but I'd say the premiere was just ok. EMH was actually decent. In fact, over time the show's quality improved. Not so sure about this one.

Aside from fighting over cookies (seriously, dafuq), this show still has potential.

better than the premier but the threat was poorly introduced. Stark looked pretty bad in this episode. causing the threat in the first place and being a nosey asshole to Falcon. Super heroes messing around is fun and all but Stark was acting like a school kid.
the focus on Falcon was pretty cool, I like the characters adaption from the comics, including their version of Red Bird, but he still dropped another avenging line. "I'm not annoying; I'M AVENGING!"
the ongoing cookie joke was just surreal. Falcon bringing his momma's cookies is funny, the Avengers, these super powered/skilled hero team gets into physical arguments over cookies? That's just childish
there were other things i could nitpick but i can't really think of them right now so i guess it wasn't that much of an issue.
action was pretty cool.
The next episode will decide if i want to keep watching or not.

This probably isn't much to say, but I thought today's episode was the best so far, at least compared to the first 3. No real overly silly moments like the cookie fight, unless you count Falcon trying to wake Hulk up, but I thought it worked. My only gripe was that Widow wasn't in the episode; I mean, everyone had a role in Stark's plan but the girl? -_-

what did you guys think of the last episode?
i thought it was pretty good. mostly because captain america was portrayed as something more than gruff patriot man. he was funny and made good points about his lost in time situation. he's adapted well which is cool to see.
where the episode kind of fell apart was tony's inability to see beyond technology. being arrogant asshole is part of who he is. to suggest some character changing moment in a show like this means that he won't change at all and this story will repeat itself.
the end was promising in that respect but unbelievable really. Starks ipad thing apparently has amazing user interface that ignores necessary math skills and allows Cap to construct a design that impresses Stark.
the threat itself just rubbed me the wrong way. I hate the always adapting villains. Because they always get destroyed in some bullshit way. The thing survives attacks the frick'n avengers giving everything they got and then Cap rocket's it into space and kicks it in the face with his boot and THEN its face cracks and starts to take damage. No explanation as to why this didn't happen when fighting a giant green rage monster or a norse god! the story just demands that he's beatable.
to make things worse we had Hammer's stupid face making smug comments the entire battle. So not only is this villain annoying in concept but also in dialogue.
Regardless this episode is a step up in its portrayal of Captain America, the battles were entertaining regardless of my complaints, and the story while predictable and doomed to be repeated was engaging.
there was only one pun, not counting Stark calling the Quinjet the "Aven-jet" *shudder* which is a plus. can't think of any standout childish jokes, no cookie fights.
the worst episodes in the series are kind of insufferable this was very watchable.
