We've all been duped before by marketing, but every now and then it's fun to kill time by going back and watching old trailers. Maybe you do it to get yourself hyped up for an old favorite, or maybe you do it to compare the advertising for a new project with the advertising of something prior. Here is a space to list some of your favorite trailers. Here's a couple:
Spider-man 2 (official full length trailer, 2004) Prometheus (official full length trailer)

Oooo this is a good one.
This is a hard one to think of actually because the movies themselves sort of rewrote my idea of the trailers.
I'd agree with Spider-Man 2 but the teaser. It was the first film that I fallowed religiously and that trailer blew me away. Ock could not have debuted any better.
When I was a wee lad The Grinch Teaser really excited me and stuck with me to this day. Movies that I didn't know were going to come out always excited me and this crazy open focus to any and every movie really makes me want to go back to when I was actually surprised about a new film.
I'm really stuck to recent films. Godzilla was killer. Excellent trailer that showed juust enough and everything. The art direction was beautiful with the red smoke trailing the Paratroopers.
The new Tom Cruise film, Edge of Tomorrow, was also a great trailer in the ways of selling what a film is.
But yeah Spider-Man and Grinch stick with me the most. The Stitch teasers also come to mind in how he was stuck into all the classic Disney films was a great advertisement.

Interesting topic.
I'd agree for Spider-Man 2.
Otherwise I'd say The Dark Knight Rises...
The mood, the music, the buildup... Everything about it is brilliant! I think that, despite being possibly the most epic of the three, The Dark Knight Rises was not as good as the two other films of the trilogy, but its marketing was simply one of the best ever. The teaser poster and that trailer alone... Hell, that spire shot alone... Purely amazing.
