I actually forgot he gets bitten in the hand. perhaps its trying a different location to deter the thought of organic webs. close the spine meaning close to the brain.
and yeah i heard the same things. when it comes to spiderman trailers can't always trust the first one. i mean there were lots of test shots for the first spiderman.

not as focused on the origin, maybe hit that a little before the credits where he gets bit. then show the entire thing throughout the credits i just think since they've done a great job with everyone so far, Spidey would be an incredible addition

but its just a studio. it doesn't change anything. i'd rather just have this new franchise stays in continuity.

the franchise will end regardless. no one knows when, but it will. and they wont stop making Spider-Man after that. its all a matter of "Will this be able to get us big money?".

I brought a present, the link is at the end of my post. Marc Webb has a looong talk with the guys at Hero Complex. Screenrant posted it too. Holy shit! Spidey for the win! The Avengers teaser is great, but it's hard to compete with a 2 and a half minute trailer. Things I liked: 1. The tone: Holy crap, this feels so different! It's kind of dark. That's not something Spider-man should be all the time, but God damn does this feel appropriate. 2. The web swinging: I've always complained about the web swinging and how it lacked something. It was hyperactive, but for me it lacked this ability to pull me in and make me feel as though I was free falling. Marc Webb wasn't kidding when he said he wanted the audience to feel what it would be like to be Spider-man. The 3D on this should be incredible. I'm sure that the VFX are still a work in progress, but this looks hot. 3. The acting: Is real. Nuff said. 4. The cinematography: So even with the low quality trailer, the city looks beautiful. That funky looking sky scraper (it's a famous building, but I can't remember its name) looks sweet. 5. The music: It's different! But it feels appropriate. Off topic, but did anyone notice that Peter caught a fly with his hand right in front of Aunt May? screenrant.com/the-amazing-spiderman-interviews-marc-webb-benm-124277/

i was wondering what was going on with that bug.
for a bootleg the quality is awesome. the swinging looks really cool, but the arms and legs and really eveyrthing else looks CGI. for a trailer i'm fine with it, but i'm not sold 100% for the movie.

so i saw an impression on the trailer and it seems like the feel for the reboot is split. or perhaps not. i'm not sure i don't have a full impression, but overall i can say that people either are hating the reboot or they are not.
so people who do not want a reboot will simply not like the movie it seems. its hard to imagine now but there were a strong fellowship of people who didn't want to like Batman Begins. and no surprise didn't like it.
if its a question of tone i get it, but at the same time it has to be different. at the same same time this movie feels real. it doesn't feel just like a super hero movie. its about a kid who lost his parents and then loses his uncle.
at its best worst possibility the film could just feel like a spiderman version of batman begins. it could feel too dark for spiderman and i honestly can get that, but this is the first trailer and it gives people a totally different feel for the character.

I agree that the CGI needs a lot of work, aside from the amazing swinging. I'm not too worried though because there's a reason why they chose to put Andrew on wires as much as they did. It certainly wasn't to contrast him against bad CG shots. If so, then it'll just defeat the purpose of using the practical effects.
But a lot of the complaints I'm hearing are pretty stupid. People who believe that this movie will be nothing but rehash are saying that the trailer looks like nothing but rehash. It's like, "really? What about this trailer resembled the Raimi series?" Hell, even the Spider bite was different.
Here are the similarities from what we know: Peter Parker is an outsider, lives with his Aunt and Uncle, gets bitten by a Spider that gives him his powers, decides to go out and fight crime thanks to his guilt over Uncle Ben and wanting to "never get caught doing nothing again cause With Great Power...".
All in all, this is what it boils down to: the same character told in a completely new way. One that is more fully developed in terms of realism, specifically. Isn't that what everybody wanted?

lol i call that Spider-Man: General
people have their heads up you know where. first complaint i hear is that its rehashing a story already told that was so close to the comics.
really? raimi was close to the comics? a lot are nit picks, but i think MJ as the first and only love interest is a pretty big difference. Among other things.
i'm not putting down raimi's films in any way, but i just think its pretty clear that it wasn't just like the comics.
so the haters will brush off these nitpicks, but then hate the suit by.... nitpicking! hypocrisy gets no better then that.
the tone feels very real as i said before. Peter seems to be in a slightly darker place then we are used to. The exact nature of his outsiderness has yet to be made clear, but social awkwardness must be among them.
past that the look of what we can think is oscorp is totally different and the set designs are very interesting. I really like that blue room. Webb has that intangible quality that makes this trailer very interesting.
the main point of this trailer is the tone as i said and we got that down. this is a more down to earth story. we aren't going to get extras with lines and pointing. we aren't going to have crowds cheering. its just a kid thinking he can play super hero.
among my praise i have to talk about how peter is an outsider. at best as i can see he's quiet, but he's friends with gwen or at least an acquaintance. he's having dinner so then that must mean they are or get close.
that wasn't really a complaint, but what i am complaining about is how the director thinks punk rock attitude is a modern ideal. more like early 90's if you ask me. nothing worse then disconnect on what is modern.
point is this is a very strong trailer. it tells a totally different movie and perspective. this is the new peter parker. the new spiderman. let the next trailer get more familiar.
