I read the article attached to all the pictures in Entertainment Weekly. Marc Webb even talks a little bit! He said something along the lines of:
I was nervous about the 3D, but I really wanted the world to see what it was like to be Spider-man. So, if I was going to do it, I couldn't chicken out. This is going to be balls to the wall.
Pretty cool huh? I was hoping he'd be aggressive with his use of 3D. He doesn't seem like a gimmicky type of guy, so here's hoping. The cinematography is supposed to be good, if you can take that with a grain of salt.

i think the fact that the only thing they talk about with the director is that he loves 3D sounds like he is a gimmicky kind of guy.
why not talk about the characters or the script? no its i'm working with 3D and its going to be cool…

He does say other things, it's just that the things he says are things he's said before. That's why I didn't include them. For example, we've already heard/read that this revision will be more gritty, naturalistic, character driven, etc. He probably isn't allowed to say more than that, otherwise he or someone else would've done so already. I notice that Andrew Garfield keeps saying the same things as well, even if he words his statements differently from interview to interview.
With respect to Webb though, that guy has been a mute for the past 6 months. Speculation in some corners of the web suggest that his "education of self" on the 3D process was so immersive that he simply wouldn't bother with interviews. That in itself sounds kind of cool, like he was obsessed with the project. That last part is heresay.
But anyway, Webb didn't say that he loved 3D. He was pretty nervous about it actually. His initial reaction kind of reminds me of Michael Bay's. In the end, both felt that they'd be able to create the best cinematic experience by using the extra dimension. I'm just going off of memory here, I didn't buy the magazine. But the article is out there. Just don't get paranoid off of what I wrote.

So, an insider, Poni_Boy, who is a reporter for The Daily Blam, saw the trailer. He refused to give TOO much away for fear of losing his contacts, but he revealed quite a lot. The Lizard is shown multiple times, he looks a lot like the lizard-men from SM3 the game, but with the labcoat and pants, he is quick and sporadic with power behind him, Connors changes like Jekyll and Hyde (he has an addiction to the forumla, but it isn't specified whether he is addicted to the formula itself or the fact of having his arm back) The Lizard tries speaking in a sound clip he was shown (its just hissing and animal sounds, but has cognitive thinking behind it) Spider-Man DOES quip, BUT his quips only last the beginning of the battle and once he starts to get kicked around, he shuts his mouth. Andrew uses the same accent he had in The Social Network. The music behind the trailer was a heavy rock instrumental. Poni_Boy also said it gave him massive chills and was very long, starting off light-hearted and soon turning quite dark Take this with a small grain of salt, because this is the same guy who was providing info for GL (which was correct) and revealed the release date for the TDKR trailer and revealed the making of the Avengers trailer. It sounds great. No one has asked him questions about any other characters, just Lizard.

He looks like SM3 lizard? Doubt it The Lizard men. And still, why do you doubt it? Well for one, SM3 Lizard was a giant version of the Lizard Men Everyone expected something similar at the beginning of the hype, how they couldn't think of something different from Raimis. And they went way different. I don't think anything in these films will or should be similar to the past makings of anything Spider-Man, make it new. I just highly doubt they would take that design from a video game and use it for this

Also, it doesn't say that Conners will look like SM3 lizard. It says he'll look like the Lizard men, who are about human size. I don't know if you were worried he'd be gigantic or anything. That would be cool, but I dunno. I like the idea of him not getting too huge. For me at least, it'll make the impact of Norman's Goblin transformation a little more powerful. . . . assuming that Osborn turns into his Hulk Goblin form sometime in future installments.

Definetely looks promising, much better than i had thought. Suit looks great in movement, although not as happy on bite on the neck instead of hand, but its different so understandable
Anyone else think of the "Mirrors Edge" trailer in that last part?
