This show is about the serial killer who kills serial killers. It all started back in 2006 (or prior to that if you consider the book it's based off of) with the Ice Truck Killer, and now we're eagerly awaiting season 7. What to say about this show without spoiling it? It's built on a solid foundation of memorable characters, R- rated humor, a unique idea, buddy cop stuff, and more. Main characters have died.
Aside from that, supposedly the show has been suffering in quality since the season 4 finale. Personally, I feel that the show has always been consistent, but recent seasons have allowed for more carelessness and loose ends. In that respect, the quality has dropped a little, but Dexter is still entertaining and the other characters are still interesting. Anyone else watch the show?

It'll be very interesting to see how Season 7 plays out after it finally happened and to what extent Debra is exposed to the dark passenger. I'll also be interested to see her reaction when she eventually makes the link between past cases and Dexter's involvement. Particularly relating to the Bay Harbor Butcher and Trinity.

True that. I hope they scrap the whole Debra loves Dexter thing though. They've dragged her through the mud so many times, I think the character deserves more than that. Dealing with Dexter's dark passenger is enough, and that's the big thing that we've been waiting to see happen. Not a whacked out side plot.

That new trailer was intense. It almost feels as though the show may have some shock value left in it. I can't really predict what's going to happen next here. I like that Dexter is being hunted again though.

The show has recaptured something it lost a long time ago, and that is, it makes you feel uncomfortable. It's pretty easy to forget how strange you feel when you first realize your show's protagonist is a serial killer. The series does a good job at getting you past the discomfort and actually wanting Dexter to dispense his special brand of justice on the other killers in the city. For a while we even see Dexter as a hero. I'm not feeling that so much after this episode. I like it. I'm afraid of where the character is going to go, but I'm excited at the prospect of the entire season being the same quality as the first episode.

Yo Spidey, you still keeping up with this season? We're 8 episodes in now, going on 9 this Sunday. I like how they're taking their time with this one. There are about 4 episodes left, and things are finally starting to heat up, if this week's preview is any indication. While I like that they're taking their time, I hope they don't try to do too much in the final episode.
Funny enough, this last episode really makes me think of Skyfall, and Javier Bardem's character. Just the conversation that Dexter and Isaac have in the bar, being outsiders, different. If you've seen Skyfall, and episode 8, you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. It was uncanny.

I've only watched the first two episodes (The networks here have mistreated the show putting it on at ridiculous hours). I plan to watch them online eventually.

You might want to try cokeandpopcorn.com
Just make sure you have your virus protection software updated. I have a really old, 2001 Dell desktop computer that I use. I don't think I have the best virus protection software in the world on this thing, but it does okay. Anyway, cokeandpopcorn has all the episodes, ready for streaming. It's good.

Random thoughts: Dexter getting arrested is probably a dream sequence but the argument between Deb and LaGuerta might contradict that, plus LaGuerta found the kill-room in the crate which will help her theory. Not to mention that so many people now know that Dexter is a killer and will likely help LaGuerta bring him down (Hannah, Hector, the serial arsonist).
I think Deb may have poisoned herself.
The idea of Doakes being brought back alive seems ridiculous since it was proven that Doakes is dead. I'm not against it though, but they'll need a pretty good explanation. Given the title of the final episode is Doakes' catchphase, I had a feeling he would play some role.
Final episode should be fantastic.

Agreed, it'll be interesting. I just hope it doesn't have a cliff hanger type of ending. End with promise, but not inconclusiveness with respect to the rest of the season. I have to say, I'm glad that Quin's story cleaned up nicely. He's an ass, and there are times when I do wish the character would get killed off, but I didn't want it to be at the hands of the strip-club owner.

Ending was solid. Dexter is no longer an ambiguous character in terms of his crimes. I remember that he has made a couple of mistakes, killing one or two innocents in the show's 7 season run so far, but this was so calculated it's inexcusable. If we're going to get technical, then Dexter didn't kill La Guerta, Debra did, but still. He was in the process of doing it, and he would have too . God I miss Dokes.
