How'd you think of the conference (if you watched it)? I thought it was decent.

www.flickr.com/photos/playstationblog/8493772456/in/photostream/some dual shock 4 gallery. very sexy controller, but for a playstation guy like myself its a bitter sweet sexiness. the kind you cry while you jerk off to because the playstation controller has been the same since the beginning. that's basically my entire life i'm talking about. to keep that same design for 3 generations is impress and makes the parting all the more surreal. the controller looks foreign to me, but the benefits are undeniable. the triggers are better the d-pad is bigger and most importantly the concave analogue sticks. or if you want to be all technical its convex with a ridge. either way my thumbs won't slip and accidentally hit start or the ps button like i would with the PS3 solid design, but its tough to say good bye to such an old design.

I wonder, would we have to use the PS button to pause a game or would rather that options button in the top right? I feel the new controller ditches too much of the traditional stuff, but it's possibly for the better.

"game lacks a start button its a fucking disaster!"
idk it is kind of strange to have a controller without start and select its down right blasphemous, but in all honesty what the fuck is the select button. seriously think about it, what is that button? why is it called select? because i have no fucking clue. its some ancient button of mystery apparently.
so my bet would be that the ps button is start and some drop down menu also appears that allows you to quit a game, but it doesn't cover the screen like it does now.

Well, didn't a lot of older games use select to move between menu options or to switch between stuff? Could have been a historical thing. On the PS2 and 3 I'm pretty sure it has it's uses while playing DVD's. Seems like an auxilliry thing but, probably disposable, yeah.

Eh, I don't care much for the select button, a useless PlayStation button, but come on. Start! It's like on every controller ever except the Wii's which has a + instead for whatever reason... I know it's pointless, it's just such an iconic relic of the generic videogame controller. Anyway, I kinda wish they went with more concave L2 and R2 because... Well... They did that step forward for the analog sticks by adding ridges. I mean, they kinda are, but they still don't quite mimic the gun trigger.

The editing and uploading footage sounds very useful. I look forward to that, I could use it or some video projects
