Dammit, I'm on my phone. BIB posted the trailer on page 6 everyone!
SDCC is almost finished, but this afternoon saw the release of the latest BVS trailer, as well as a leaked suicide squad trailer. The latest offerings from Snyder are pretty cool in the story department. Who doesn't want to see Superman address a world council (or at least a very high U.S. court) about what happened in Metropolis. I really enjoyed the iconic moments they created by showing Bruce Wayne run directly into the carnage as everyone ran the opposite direction. The dialogue was pretty solid too. The old Wayne Manor is ridiculous, it looks as though it's the size of the white house. Ben Affleck was really the highlight of the trailer for me though. Funny enough, he reminds me of George Clooney and makes me wonder what could have been had Clooney been given a chance to star in a proper Batman film. That's beside the point, I just think it's cool that Affleck has sort of transformed for the part. I think Gal Gadot looks fantastic, Jeremy Irons continues to impress in the stuff he's in, action looks good (of course it's a work in progress), etc. The only thing I wasn't crazy about is Eisenberg. Will his iteration of Lex Luther fit in with everyone else? I think I see what they're going for, but his performance seemed off the tone of the other stuff in the trailer. Greatest trailer of all time? lol It was good, but I liked Ultron's trailer better, and yet that movie didn't quite live up for me. In hindsight, I was singing its praises the 1st go around. I think BvS looks very promising.

I think you hit the nail on the head: I can totally see the similarity between Affleck and Clooney.

Well, a standing O certainly ain't a bad thing. Although, these execs did that for TDKR, and correct me if I'm wrong, MOS as well.
I love me some MOS, but it was pretty divisive. At the very least, we know Affleck impressed.

I really liked the beginning of the trailer, but it makes the movie look very crowded. I'm pretty skeptical, to be honest. I don't know if they can pull it off. But I have to say, the visuals are really on point; the shots look gorgeous!

Some thoughts:
1. Cavill and Affleck were great. Enjoyed the interactions between their characters.
2. Gadot certainly looks the part.
3. I'm fairly sure the trailer just spoiled the entire plot.
4. They are cramming a lot of stuff into the movie.
5. Did we really need to see Darkseid's Parademons in the trailer?
6. Luthor seems too wacky, Joker-like. Hopefully this is just a public façade.
7. Not enthusiastic about Doomsday's design. Looks like a weird combination of the Abomination and those demented Ninja Turtles.

I'm gonna be honest about this... I didn't like the trailer. The tone was different in a way that conflicts with the first. Trailers do that, but it should still feel like a piece of the same puzzle. This feels like lots of different puzzles that are being forced to fit together. Still enjoying Affleck as Batman, still love the Batman voice. Eisenberg worries me, and I wasn't all too worried about him prior.
Meh, hope it rocks!

2 Things: Thing 1: BvS isn't looking to fix people's problems with MOS www.cinemablend.com/new/Batman-V-Superman-Won-t-Try-Fix-Your-Issues-With-Man-Steel-103987.htmlThing 2: Saw the trailer in Imax 3D, and it's pretty badass. Definitely made for a premium screen. On the first thing I'm pleased. Man of Steel had some narrative issues, mirroring Batman Begins a little too closely where other techniques might have helped tell the story more smoothly. Jonathan Kent's death via tornadocide also doesn't really hold up for me after repeat viewings. However, the tone, the performances, and the action were phenomenal. I've seen the movie at least 7 times, and those things continue to work (IMHO). I love the way the world reacts to Superman, and how the movie was a little bit like Close Encounters as well as a Moses and/or Messiah story. Much of the criticism on MOS revolves around collateral damage and the fact that Superman kills. Without going too much into my disagreement with those criticisms, I will say that I don't think those things negate the positives from MOS. Granted, this movie will be very different, but I'm happy to see that they aren't apologizing for their first installment. As for thing 2, seeing the trailer on an IMAX screen with the speakers in that theater, I have to say that everything looks much more impressive. I like Affleck as Batman even more this time around, and the dialogue between his Bruce Wayne and Cavill's Clark Kent is a highlight for me. Eisenberg's Lex Luthor is still problematic, but if the rest is good, I don't think it'll sour the movie. DC has too much riding on this (billions made potentially) for them to let Eisenberg derail the picture. There has to be more to it than what we see in the trailers. I mean seriously, they have 2 other movies in some stage of production right now. Money already spent. If this one is a turkey, it'll hurt the momentum of the others.

Bravo! I'm gonna be that guy and say it... This should've been the December trailer.

It really should have, but I cannot unsee the December trailer. It showed too much, and I still feel rather skeptical about the whole film. I'm certain it will have a lot of good things going for it, but its overall vibe remains messy to me.

I saw... Man, I kinda saw it coming, but it still sucks. I never like to see a film I intend to watch get slaughtered by critics.
