I think this game looks great it sounds like it has a few elements of the Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 games for PS1. I hope it has a character viewer like those games did , I miss those things

Has it been announced who the villains in the game will be? Confirmed so far are: Black Cat, Rhino, and Iguana. Unofficially announced are Alistair Smythe (given there are Spider-Slayers), and either Scorpion or Scorpia. Vermin's a possibility as well. And... Connors may have a relapse as the Lizard.

I'd love to face Vermin in a game. He's always been an under-rated villain to me and I think he could be a good villain to go up against the Lizard when they make ASM 2

Neat set pieces. But it makes me wonder how much control we will have over Spidey.

So we have some new interesting info about Scorpion's backstory: www.ign.com/wikis/the-amazing-spider-man-game/SCORPION?objectid=120284Normally reserving his genius toward his specialty in nuclear science, Oscorp physicist Dr. Otto Octavius dug into Curt Connors’ research as quickly as it became available to him. Not satisfied with simply infusing human DNA into a highly venomous black fat-tailed scorpion, Octavius also threw in a touch of a mysterious, organic “black goo” of unknown origin, which Oscorp had recently retrieved from one of the company’s fallen satellites in secret. The result was Scorpion, an experiment Octavius also would affectionately refer to as “MAC” (as in, “my astonishing creation” – he thought it was clever, anyway…).The article also mentions Smythe again, that Scorpion is intelligent compared to other cross species experiments that started out from mere animals and is developing speech patterns, and that neither Octavius or the goo will appear in the game. If this game has any impact on the actual movie series itself, we have new potential for more stories. I hope they reference it in the sequel. I love how this game is creating a whole new universe for Spider-Man and other characters with the changes; it's really like the Arkham series.

Wow, they're mixing story elements and making stuff up too. Should be interesting. I don't want the symbiote to be from outerspace in the movie though. To me, they'd have to go into too much backstory about the origins of where the symbiote came from to create a truly satisfying story. Just brushing over it won't fly in this universe. At least, that's the feel that I'm getting from this, they're being super thorough with the story this time around.
As for the gameplay, it looks okay. Web rush kind of reminds me of what they're doing with the new splinter cell game, where you can determine what you're going to do first, then push a button and the character does all your intricate moves. It's more controlled than a Final Fantasy game, say, but it's much more premeditated than a button masher.

I guess it's true that none of the movie cast will be part of it. But if it's Christopher Daniel Barnes as Spider-Man, I definitely approve!
