A couple bits of news. The Negative Zone suit will also be available to play in the game; not sure why since we basically already have that in the Spider-Man 3 black suit. Also, all achievements have been revealed and include another enemy to defeated named "Nattie"; no idea who it's supposed to be, but it kinda looks like Lizard. Maybe a original villain? www.xbox360achievements.org/game/the-amazing-spider-man/achievements/

A full walkthrough of the game is being uploaded to YouTube, so if you wanna watch and get feel for it before it comes out, here's the start of it:
It turns out Peter's just housesitting for May's friend Stan (wink, wink) so it's not really his own apartment. I should mention though, from what I've watched so far, that there's a major spoiler for the movie in the third video. Just thought I'd let you guys know in case you want to play it after watching the movie.

Only wanted to see a newspaper article with a picture of the Raimi Spider-Man, gets two major spoilers from the movie in 5 seconds.

Yet another costume. An inverted Future Foundation suit Peter wore to Atlantis once. Okay, this one looks good, but don't we have enough black suits for this game?

So the main story has been completed in the walkthrough videos. It seems like it would take an estimated 6 hours to complete.
Even though I've just been watching the game and won't get to play it til tomorrow, it seems like it's the definitive Spider-Man game. My one complaint is that you'll webswing in midair and aren't attatched to anything, but they can just improve it in the next game. Just like Rocksteady and Batman, Beenox has found the perfect formula for a Spider-Man game.
Besides the gameplay, the story is really good too. They did a nice job at getting the feel for the movie universe, including the Peter and Gwen relationship. BTW, there is a post-credits scene.
Oh and that "Nattie" villain. Turns out there's more than one and they're pirhannas infected with the cross-species virus and are semi-henchmen for the Lizard.
I should also point out that it looks like Iguana and Rhino are side missions as there aren't any more fights with them in the main story.
I'm looking forward to getting this.

you really think a 6 hour game is the definitive spider-man game?

Is length really an issue? That's not even accounting for the side missions. Besides that, I can play through the main story in Arkham City in about the same time, and have done so twice. I'm talking story and gameplay wise that this is the ultimate Spider-Man game. Anyway, we're gonna get the Big Time suit again, this time in green:

Anyway, we're gonna get the Big Time suit again, this time in green: first of all game has to earn replay value. you have to want to play it again. by that logic you could make a 2 hour game charge it 60 bucks and say its worth it because you could just replay it as many times as needed. an average game, i.e. not a movie tie in, is over 10 hours. Batman is around 8, but considering the challenge/stealth maps it offers a lot game without requiring replay. not saying a game can't be shorter and be good, just don't charge it full price. so yeas length is an issue, it is a very big issue. i don't' want the new standard of gaming being these 4-6 hour campaigns where i can beat it in a day or two. It isn't a movie. It costs double or even triple the cost of a blu-ray/dvd

Yet another black costume has been announced, but this one actually looks worth having since it's like the symbiote got on the current movie suit: The yellow eyes don't look as good on this though (or any of the other black suits for that matter).

I don't know, but Scorpion does have some of the symbiote in it.

I've been playing the game despite the spoilers and thus far it's been great despite many levels being too repetitive.

i rather strongly disagree. i find the game lazy in about everything and web slinging is more like watching an animation then actually doing anything. the combat is the right idea, but clumsy and paper thin. they give us the free flow combat, but then throw in these unavoidable attacks. i can never stay in combat long enough to feel like i'm really doing much. i have to run away from bullets and goo. i'm spider-man i should be able to dodge everything.
for an open world game there seems to be nothing to do. collecting comic book pages. engaging thugs with more boring and limited combat? no thanks.
and most of the levels take place indoors. i may not like the swinging mechanic, but i'd rather swing than get stuck in another level. the story is nothing we really expected much from so complaining about that is irrelevant.
I can say i'm having fun, but to call it a great game. wrong on so many levels. I was so disappointed with the swinging that i popped in SM2 game again and found myself have more fun with graphics that look like a computer shat out random polygons. I want to play a game not looking animations.
