So here's something that probably could've been improved on. When you're fighting the hunters over the city and deactivate them, you take them out and they rocket down the street causing tons of damage and probably killing some people. Wouldn't have been more heroic to try and lead them to the water and take them out there? Just what I was thinking.

or how about not creating an asylum break. that was really stupid of spider-man. releasing all those crazies.
and as for the robots this game isn't really concerned how things happen. i mean a giant robot snake bursts out of oscorp with no set up what so ever.
i hear the black cat level is good so i'm waiting on that.

Well the breakout wasn't completely Spidey's fault. He was just trying to get Connors, but the guard shot a taser at the control panel, causing the malfunction to open all the cells.

if you don't want to be spoiled again then don't watch when Gwen and Conners are arguing. or the cut scene.
i must say though that this was an interesting interpretation of the spider slayers. maybe if it wasn't a video game it could have been pretty good. nice use of conners/lizard as an ally.

Fun fact to mention. Some of the photo missions have easter eggs to other Spider-Man villains: Mr. Negative, Vulture, Hydro-Man, Sandman, and Man-Wolf.

yah i played most of those photo missions. really liked those additions. of course inspired by batman, but they were still fun to just kind of search around and find the easter eggs.
the problem was that the level based photo missions weren't all that interesting. they were all just oscorp and not more easter eggs and they lacked a greater story like Batman also had. the game seems to get thinner the more like it because it makes me realize that maybe this could have actually been a pretty good, full retail gain instead of the good rental it is.
some of the side quests are actually pretty good, but make me wonder why they are better than the main missions.

they are all based on the concept of more genetic cross species. except this time its adding human DNA to animals, which turns out to be pretty stupid.
lets do that to of all animals a rhino! a rat (Vermin)! a fish (Nettie, reference to Nessie)! and a scorpion!
the main villain is Smythe and the spider-slayers.

It's not as black and white as Cavey says according to the character bios. Rhino actually started out as a human like Lizard. Iguana and Vermin were accidents (Vermin was actually created by a colleague of Connors that was trying to find a cure for him). Scorpion was the only planned animal fused with human DNA by Octavius (as well as a black goo). Easter eggs in the game also refer to other experiments like Vulture and Man-Wolf, and non-animal mutations like Sandman and Hydro-Man. The original character of Nattie was created by Mendell Stromm and is named after the most dangerous breed of piranha, pygocentrus nattereri.
Black Cat is also in the game and is still human.
So to recap: Rhino Vermin Iguana Scorpion Lizard Black Cat Smythe and the Spider-Slayers Nattie

So with the rumor that Electro may be the main villain for the next movie, I've had some thoughts about who could be in the next game. Basically, I think all the villains that were hinted at in the photo missions could be used. But first, read my idea for Electro that I posted in the movie thread:
Let me break down how the villains could be explained (for one thing, they all could have broken out).
Sandman and Hydro-Man: like Electro, their DNA could have been changed in an attempt to make the body stronger against disease. These would be the experiments done before Electro and of course they aren't exactly successes. Plus, in the game they could combine into their Mudman fusion.
Mr. Negative: Another experiment intended to give a person power to better fight illnesses and injuries, but another side effect gave him the power to corrupt as well. He escapes and builds a criminal empire. This could bring the mob aspect to the Spider-Man world.
Vulture and Man-Wolf: Just left-over cross-species that still need to be found. However, if Jameson is introduced in the second film, they could open a subplot for the game on how his son John went missing and was turned into Man-Wolf by OsCorp.
