i guess this will introduce people to Thanos, but i literally know nothing about these guys. absolutely nothing. marketing campaign has to be better than marvel's past work. besides being good it needs to sell.

Wll if anything, the tagline "From the studio that brought you Iron Man" helped Cap and Thor. "From the studio that brought you The Avengers" may give them an edge.
Still, that article mentioned we may see Avengers 2 in 2015. Am I the only one who thinks that may be too soon? I thought 2016 would have been better; then we could get another Hulk and another new movie along with it.

In case you haven't heard, the film's been confirmed at Comic Con. And here's some concept art:

Read the article, pretty good, even if it is just a "what if". In a way, I'm glad that Marvel Studios isn't using the Fantastic Four right now. I want to see something new, and GotG will bring just that. Fantastic Four needs to be done right, so yes, eventually I do want to see them go back to Marvel Studios, but for now I'm okay with not seeing them for a while.
Couple of things to mention, I'm not sure I'd be okay with seeing Tony be outclassed by Reed in the brain department. I understand that he is the smartest human in the Marvel universe, but the movies have been established in such a way that it'd be weird for me. Another is, if the Guardians deal with threat levels so great, that they consider Avengers to be nothing more than a beta team, how would Marvel possibly portray this on film?
How do you make a team comprised of characters like Thor, Hulk, and now an Extremis inspired Iron Man look like a beta team? By having them squabble with each other constantly so that they can't get the job done? I wouldn't want that. We'll see what's what when Guardians comes out, and whether or not the teams will even meet each other, but for now I'm just interested in meeting these guys.

He definitely looks the part, and based off his performance in "The Man with the Iron Fists", his wrestling skills translate nicely to the silver screen. I'm not sure how much acting will be required from the guy, but given enough time I think most actor (I use the term loosely) can grow into a role.

I know literally nothing about GotG so I can't really judge. Does Drax talk much?

Ha, that's exactly what I was thinking. Thing is, some people do have a natural talent for acting, and it's not like classical training is required for the roles they tend to occupy. Dwayne Johnson is pretty decent, but wrestlers do have that stigma for being bad actors.

i doubt Drax says much nor has much of a role as far as character importance goes.
