Definitely! I think this will most likely be the X-Men film we've all been waiting for.

Famke Jansen was throwing out hints similar to what Patrick Stewart was doing before he was officially announced. Shouldn't be too long now. Maybe James Mardsen will come back too.

If Marsden does come back, I hope they resolve the whole Havok situation. What is his relation?! (Yes, I'm still on that ) I'm sure Hugh Jackman will be back as well.

That would be a simple solution, but the die hards will flip their biscuit if Scott isn't made to be Havoc's older brother. Or did I get that wrong? That's not to say it'll affect what Singer does.

It's very likely Havok is Cyclops' father in this universe. I'd just like a little confirmation.

What about the Sentinels? I wonder what they're gonna look like....

Something like the Wolverine game could be cool:

I could live with that. It has some of the classic Sentinel look to it plus the purple color. (That game was pretty awesome haha)

Practical, no, but would it work in an X-Men film? I think so.
Guillermo del Toro seems to be creating a lot of buzz with his upcoming movie "Pacific Rim": a movie about giant bipedal robots, engineered and piloted by humans, to fight monsters. The movies will be different tonally, no doubt, but the concept of using giant (bipedal) robots to fight bigger threats will be front and center in this movie, which comes out an entire year prior to DOFP.

May not be practical but, it sure will be awesome to see the X-Men finally fighting these robots. Something we were cheated out of in X3.

yeah but that is clearly more in the vein of godzilla or sky captain and the world of tomorrow. its surreal and fits, ultimately it comes down to design for me. I think they can create a really striking image if they maybe go for that kind of 50's idea of the future deal. almost simplistic looking robots. just something with real inspiration. i don't want to see an ordinary mech that have been used a million times in video games. using this picture not to suggest the sentinels should have a heart of gold or something, but design wise i'd really like to see something like this maybe not giant giant, but hulk sized at least. looking at the sentinel faces i just kind of see an emotion to them and i actually don't want them to get ride of that design. i just want to believe these robot guards. maybe kind of elaborate on their creation. perhaps there was some sort of war even a civil war involving man and mutant. the result was the post apocalyptic world in the comic and the extreme of robot guards keeping the mutant menace down could really work.
