There's something special about those early May releases when it comes to superhero films, isn't there? Spider-man, Iron Man, Thor, Avengers. I'm probably missing a lot of them, but still.

The Masters of Evil could be the villains: geektyrant.com/news/2012/11/13/marvel-inside-news-the-avengers-2-and-captain-america-2.htmlSo should speculate who would be on the team? Crossbones has been confirmed to appear in the film. And I can see Abomination returning. Maybe Coldblood, Firepower, or Radioactive Man will make an appearance after Iron Man 3. Kurse could come back after Thor 2. As for who could lead, I see the following possibilities: Baron Zemo, Red Skull, Loki (not likely since he was the main villain before but it may be still possible), or Mandarin. I'm not sure about Thanos appearing now.

I read the article too. I think there's a lot of truth in it, but it hardly feels impartial. Whedon is a company man, for sure, but his quote seemed to sum it up the best. I guess what I mean to say is, this sort of thing has happened in Hollywood before, albeit for different reasons. Marvel is no longer the underdog studio struggling to survive, so now that they don't have to pinch their pennies so much, they do need to sit down for renegotiation. It's understandable that this wasn't done for Avengers because at that point in time, none of their independent films crossed the $600 million threshold. Also because most of their actors' star power rose because of the phase 1 films, though it can be said that Renner, Johansson, and Ruffalo didn't need the push to begin with.
I'm sure Marvel will be smart and play ball. Use Robert sparingly and he'll probably be back for at a couple more team roles, his big pay days will be distributed over longer periods of time, which should free up money to raise the rest of the cast's salary to match their quotes. (Hemsworth's price tag of 3 or 4 million isn't that bad in movie speak).

Nuff said
Although the idea of ultron as the villain seems kind of boring. Generally speaking robot characters tend to be rather one note. I'm sure something awesome is going unsaid

Yeah. One of the bigger rumors going around now is that Stark will be responsible for the creation of Ultron. I dunno if I'd want that. It makes sense that you'd see the introduction of Hank Pym or another Ant Man in Marvel's biggest upcoming movie as a way to break him in to the audiences. It's not absolutely necessary, and I'm not a total stickler for pure adherence to comic writ, but still.
On another note, I stood about 15 feet from Joss Whedon today at Marvel's showroom booth. It was magical. Then I was ushered away by comic con staff and a large crowd of people. The day before I stood about 5 feet away from Haley Atwell as she did promotion on her new short, Agent Carter. I might have said this already in another thread though. What an experience.

I really hope this debunks the Paul Bettany, rogue Jarvis rumor. I guess I can see that it might not necessarily, but it lends hope.
