I haven't bought comics in forever either. The place near me I usually went to shut down I think. There is another one closer and one about an hour away that's amazing but, I haven't been in forever. It's hard to keep up. I usually just get old ones anyway. This all seems really cool though. I'd be interested to check up

the issue with my return is mostly that lack of build up at all. i mean where was norman last? wasn't he still imprisoned. of course assuming its norman.
regardless this is pretty exciting and if that one panel is a taste of what is to come i'm really excited because that is a really awesome green goblin face.

Well the last time he was around was when he reformed HAMMER and the Dark Avengers in both the Avengers and New Avengers books, where he turned himself into a super adaptoid and ended up in a coma after he was defeated. It was later revealed he escaped his hospital bed in Amazing Spider-Man #697.
I'll admit I'm kinda glad Norman is getting back to his roots as the Goblin and going after his archenemy instead of all the Avengers again. I wonder if he knows something's up with him.

i guess if i want think think aaaaaallll the way back to what was it called that stupid event book with marvel's superman that is actually evil. well whatever it was called norman completely snapped again and still had his goblin gear around so i guess that's the set up from leader of shield/thunderbolts to the green goblin again.

Siege, and he was wearing goblin make-up under his Iron Patriot suit. The story I mentioned above came after that. Let's not forget it gave us this fun moment:

So I'm going to admit, I'm enjoying Ock as Spider-Man. He's pretty effective, strategic, and not afraid to take a villain down. But still, he can be a little extreme, like what happened to Boomerang and Vulture. And even though this would go against who Spider-Man is, part of me probably wouldn't mind if he killed Massacre, which might happen. As for Ock as Peter Parker though, his doucheness really shows through, especially if he's so upset about Peter not having a doctorate and going back to school. While I guess that goes with the Superior angle, it's a bit much for Peter to do. Interesting thing: in this week's Avenging #17, these future guys have said he's going to cause something that will lead to a massive loss of life. So there's that to look forward to. Finally, a preview for next week's #5, and I'm not sure what to expect here: www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=74893

yeah i agree. as spider-man he's really interesting as peter he's super douchey. i guess it goes to show how batman can't act like batman as bruce wayne because he'd be a massive dick.

So without spoiling too much about #5, the line has been crossed. But looking to the future... SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #11 DAN SLOTT (W) • GIUSEPPE CAMUNCOLI (A/C) “No Escape” Part 1 of 3 • The Spider-Slayer is scheduled for execution and Mayor J. Jonah Jameson is leaving nothing to chance. To ensure that everything goes according to plan, Jameson’s called in the one man he can trust to oversee everything—the Superior Spider-Man. • Since the startling events of Superior Spider-Man #9, will anyone realize that things have changed...? 32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99 SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #12 DAN SLOTT (W) • GIUSEPPE Camunicoli (A/C) “No Escape” Part 2 of 3 • The Raft is completely shutdown. Which means that Spider-Man, Jonah, Glory, and Norah are trapped inside with practically ALL the villains that the Superior Spider-Man has brutalized over the past 12 issues! • It’s time for a little payback for the Spider-Slayer, Scorpion, Boomerang, and the Vulture! 32 PGS./Rated T+ …$3.99 Looks like Smythe gave them all upgrades. I'm still wondering what's gonna happen with issue 9. I mean, it sounds like Ock is still in command of the body, but what change is gonna happen?

This July, the chart topping creative team behind Amazing Spider-Man #700, Dan Slott & Humberto Ramos, go straight to the steps of Shadowland in Superior Spider-Man #14! This all-new story arc, launching during Superior Spider-Month, gives fans a whole new look into the world of Superior Spider-Man, great for lapsed and new readers alike!
Continuing his personal quest to show the world why he is truly the superior Spider-Man, Otto Octavius looks to add cleaning up the City of New York to his list of accomplishments! But what’s his plan of attack? Eliminate Shadowland. All of it. With the Kingpin and Hobgoblin running crime throughout the city for far too long and nobody daring enough to take them down, the Superior Spider-Man takes matters into his own hands!
“Superior Spider-Man #14 marks a drastic change for the character AND the series. He's got new allies, a new look, and an all-new agenda,” explained Slott. “And we kick it off with a moment that will LITERALLY change the face of New York in the Marvel Universe! In ANY incarnation of ANY book with ANY character called Spider-Man, you have NEVER seen a Spider-Man operate like this before! Forget Superior Spider-Man Month! This chapter kicks off the Superior Spider-Man AGE!”
And just when you see what Superior Spider-Man is really capable of when given the opportunity – fans everywhere will be screaming for more!
This July, Superior Spider-Month turns it up a notch as Slott & Ramos wage war against Shadowland in Superior Spider-Man #14!

ON SALE JULY 2013!Thoughts: * Well it appears Ock will still have control past #9, so my only guess as to what happens in that issue is he will wipe out the last shred of Peter in his mind. If that's the case, then what happens then? I mean, it felt like this plot was running its course with Ock acting more rash and the Avengers suspecting something off. You'd think Wolvie would bring in Rachel and scan his mind like he wanted her to before in Avenging #16. * Got a feeling this will be the horrific event talked about in Avenging #17. * I like the new suit, reminds me of the Alex Ross movie design. But are those supposed to be Spider-Henchmen?
