I can't believe the Avengers let him off that easy. Spidey's (by which I mean Peter) right, they must be taking stupid pills. #9 preview: www.newsarama.com/php/multimedia/album_view.php?gid=5020Looking at this preview, it sucks knowing that Ock is probably gonna get full control at the end.

Won't spoil exactly how it happens, but it happens. It wasn't what I expected, but my initial reaction is about the same as to Amazing #700. At this point, I'm not sure how Peter's gonna come back now.

The Scarlet pride of Houston makes his way back to the Big Apple this summer. In August, writer Christopher Yost returns Kaine Parker to the streets of New York City in a two-part story called Sibling Rivalry, playing across SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN TEAM UP #2 and SCARLET SPIDER #20. The story sees the prodigal webslinger checking in on the man he believes to be his “brother,” Peter Parker; however, we know that Doctor Octopus, a man once killed by Kaine, has seized control of Peter’s body as the Superior Spider-Man. Making matters even more complicated, the Jackal, Kaine's maker, will appear with a purpose yet to be revealed. More on Marvel.com: marvel.com/news/story/20617/see_spider-man_scarlet_spider_reunite#ixzz2Sua1BjdjOh this is gonna be good.

#13 preview: www.comicbookresources.com/?page=preview&id=17183I don't know whether or not Smythe will die, but I think the civilians will. Jameson will blame Spider-Man but then Ock will play the recording of Jameson telling him to make sure Smythe dies and blackmail him into letting Ock do as he pleases, which will lead into the Shadowland attack next issue.

Well I certainly called it that Ock would blackmail Jameson, but not for the reason I thought. Still interesting for Spidey to have an HQ though. I also had a feeling Ock would taunt Smythe about who he really was as he died. SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #19 DAN SLOTT (W) • RYAN STEGMAN (A/C) VARIANT by J. G. JONES LEGO VARIANT by Leonel Castellani Necessary Evil CONCLUDES! • The moment that changes world of Spider-Man-- and the Marvel Universe for years to come. • Which Spider-Man is responsible for such a thing? SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #20 is where it all starts! Do NOT miss this one! • It’s the first ever adventure for the Superior Spider-Man and the Black Cat. Felicia Hardy always cared for the Spider more than the man. But what happens when that man is Otto Octavius? • Plus: A day Otto has been waiting for is finally here. Is the world ready for “Dr. Peter Parker”... and what he plans to do next? 32 PGS./Rated T …$3.99

I'm so far behind on Spider-man, I'm going to come out and admit I'm not qualified to speak about post OMD Spidey. That being said, I picked up the trade paper back containing issues 1-5 of Superior Spider-man. Reading it was fuuuun. The humor was pretty funny. I didn't find it all that one note. I felt bad for Otto, laughed at Peter's ghost, and found myself properly creeped out by Otto trying to work his mojo while being Peter Parker. I feel pretty pumped about going back and catching up on everything Amazing Spider-man that I missed out on (I usually skip the supplementary books because of cost, though they are pretty good).
