I don't know what the character is like in the comics, or if Olivia Munn has the talent. I've only seen her in Magic Mike and on the Daily Show. Her stint in Iron Man 2 doesn't really count, since it was just a little something small Favreau threw her way after cutting her from the party scene. Hell, the way Singer gives such small parts to such big time actors, maybe it doesn't matter.

Not bad, looks a little unfinished. These character shots have never been these production's strong point though. Whether you're looking back at the First Class fiasco, to the early reveals of Quicksilver. This franchise has at least bought people's faith enough to wait for the trailers. The concept art is great though. Concept Art: www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/JoshWildingNewsAndReviews/news/?a=119727

Caution, there are potential spoilers ahead from the Fox panel.
Funny enough, there's 15 seconds of Apocalypse too. I'm excited, maybe more for this right now than Civil War and BvS. With the other 2, they're big event movies. This however will be the biggest X-Men movie ever, and these movies have been globe trotting affairs since X2. Not too happy about Storm and Magneto being 2 of Apocalypse's horsemen, but I really like Oscar Isaac's description of what Apocalypse's powers are. His dialogue is awesome too. I really hope they don't cut any corners on the story. If the meat is tasty, don't skip on it to charge toward the dessert, you know?

I'm fine with Storm and Magneto being horsemen. They were in X-Men Evolution.

Guess that concept art where Scott and Jean are fighting that flying Storm-like figure makes more sense now. It was her.

www.newsarama.com/25250-x-men-apocalypse-covers-entertainment-weekly.htmlwww.newsarama.com/25259-x-men-apocalypse-s-new-mutants-unveiled.html(I will admit that in this shot, Apocalypse does kind of look like Ivan Ooze, but big props for Psylocke's costume being really faithful.) * EW reveals numerous details about the film, including which mutants Apocalypse recruits as his four horsemen. According to the mag, Apocalypse will recruit a young Storm from the streets of Cairo, Angel from Berlin, and Psylocke, who is working "behind the iron curtain" for Caliban. * Finally, Apocalypse's fourth horseman is Magneto, whom actor Michael Fassbender says has “fallen in love and he’s basically left his metal ways behind. Apocalypse finds Erik at a low ebb and recruits him.” * EW also reveals an early relationship between Mystique and Nightcrawler in Apocalypse, who in comic books are mother and son, with Raven rescuing Nightcrawler from oppression in Germany. * Meanwhile, Professor X's school is flourishing, but Charles isn't leading the X-Men yet. “He’s not teaching anybody how to fight at the moment,” said James McAvoy. “He’s teaching people how to control their abilities so that they can work at a bank. But of course this movie challenges all of that.” * Lana Condor's Jubilee is one of of the cool kids at Charles Xavier's school, with EW calling her "fashionable." * The future team leader, Cyclops (played by Tye Sheridan), is making a bit of a departure from his comic book origins with EW's description of him as a "bad boy." EW also says a budding romance with Jean Grey is one of "three love stories" in the movie. * Kodi Smit-McPhee is described as the "comic relief" for the movie, sounding somewhat similiar to Alan Cumming's portrayal of the character in X2: X-Men United. * And Game of Thrones alum joins a new kind of family as the movie's Jean Grey. EW describes the red-haired young woman as one of Xavier's "most prized students," but someone that is scared of her telepathic abilities.

I like a lot of the manips people have been making. The case is being made that the way he looks on the magazine is the way he will look at some parts of the movie. While I agree, I'm confident he will take on a few different forms, and we don't know how long he'll be in any particular form or what those will look like yet.
I kinda never saw Mardsen's Cyclops as a bad boy. Jean even tells Logan that girls aren't supposed to go home with the bad boy in Singer's earlier x men films, implying that Scott is the good guy she holds long term plans for. Interested in this new take tho.

Official synopsis: www.superherohype.com/news/355075-x-men-apocalypse-synopsis-officially-released#/slide/1“Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.”

www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/MarvelFreshman/news/?a=125800Apparently Fassbender made Bryan Singer cry, and also drew tears from Simon Kinberg with his performance in a scene. Singer says that Fassbender had asked him to keep rolling, and elevated the scene, adding stuff that was not written I'm guessing. Singer adds that none of the actors will win an award because they're in a superhero movie, but praises them as among the 3 best actors in their age bracket. See, I get what he's saying, but Days of Future past was pretty good. Best picture? No, but it was one of the best movies that year for me, in any category. If Apocalypse turns out to be better, why couldn't Fassbender get a best supporting actor nod? If the role is written dynamically enough, why not? The character is rich enough to be written in a very textured and honest way. It's not as though getting an Oscar for portraying a super villain is unprecedented. Do I think they wrote him a role dynamic enough in an ensemble piece to win an award? No. Just sayin'. BTW, when is that teaser trailer announcement coming?
