Wow. That's some detailed animation right there.. and, I love J.K. Simmon's voice acting. It works just as well in animation as it does in live action.
MJ sounds like Lacy something or other. The voice actress who voiced Gwen in TSSM.

I like what I see so far. And I'm guessing the green guy is Electro.

Everything looked fine...
Except the toaster and spider bike.
Ok, seriously...what the fuck was that? I just watched Spider-Man turn into a toaster...then explode into a piece of bread. I remember hearing about it and it wasn't even close to how bad that was. The spider bike was just so 70s. No explanation needed. Plus, I know we've known this for ever, but I really don't want freaking team ups. The character is Spider-Man, I want SPIDER-MAN to fight SPIDER-MAN villains. Is that not OK? Jesus... The animation, sound and art style are great, though. And some of the humor was spot on for Spidey.

The only thing stupid was the toast part, and I didn't care for the Spider-Cycle either. I just don't want to focus on the negative parts while everything else looks good.

i'm seeing a deadpool approach and no thats not good. a scatter plot of randomness and humor that is hit or mis and all kind of ridiculous. basically it could become obnoxious in the hopes for being witty all the time.
art is good and JK Simmons is going to be great. I just hope it won't be annoying or stupid.

He can fight other villains, but since the show focuses on team ups, he probably won't fight his OWN villains very much...which blows. Also...this is worse in a picture than I thought... But this is actually really fucking funny in a picture... I'll accept the second picture for the time being because it's making me laugh pretty hard.

don't be so cynical i'm sure he'll fight plenty I said VERY much. I'm sure he'll fight them, sure. We see him fight Venom in the video! But I'm afraid we aren't going to see that a lot...

That Venom clip is the coolest I've seen for the character, as far as animation goes. I've never seen that kind of detail in the character on the small screen. It's awesome how the symbiote keeps trying to suck Peter in.
I think the plus side to Spider-man fighting villains outside his usual click is that we'll get to see Spidey more involved with the rest of the Marvel Universe. I like that because it's not going to happen in the movies for another 5 to 10 years if ever. Ultimate Comics is extremely Spidey centric, but he has plenty of run ins with other people's baddies too. There are a lot of X-Men cross overs, for example. Though I don't recall seeing Dr. Doom ever make an appearance. Regardless though, I don't think Spidey's rogue's galleries will be put in the shadows. Maybe it'll be like a 60:40 split.

as we know currently in Ultimate Spider-Man and comics in general is that Mutants are taken very seriously. its such a massive social issue that it can become its own universe.

Clark Gregg talks briefly about his role in the upcoming Ultimate Spider-man cartoon: CraveOnline: I loved Spartan. I saw that you’re also playing Agent Coulson on the Ultimate Spider-Man television series? Clark Gregg: Yeah, it’s true. It’s an animated show that they’re working on now that’s really going to be kind of groundbreaking. There’s some really cool scripts with Agent Coulson. It’s about some younger superheroes who are kind of undercover at a high school in New York City, and “Principal Coulson” is their minder. He’s undercover also as the principal, and it’s just funny. www.craveonline.com/film/articles/173736-clark-gregg-on-the-avengers-marvel-one-shots-iron-man-3-and-moreAt first this kind of pissed me off. This is supposed to be a Spider-man show, not a show about a bunch of young superheroes. But the more I think about it, the more I realize that Bendis did devote a lot of time to making Ultimate Spider-man about Peter Parker and his young super hero colleagues. We may not be in trouble after all.
