Point by point thoughts on the movie:
* Definitely served as a great conclusion to the Captain American trilogy as well as a culmination of everything that's been built up since the first Iron Man (with the exception of Guardians) while setting up the future.
* I felt this film had a lot more of an impact for the MCU's future than Age of Ultron, and I really liked that they focused on the public aspect and collateral damage of what happened in previous movies, something they hadn't done before.
* As I was Team Cap going in, they did a really good job of making both sides look right. Even I was on Tony's side in some way. You know what's ironic though? The Avengers Initiative was a government idea in the first place.
* I really enjoyed Vision and Wanda's relationship.
* Black Panther was freaking badass and definitely one of the MCU's best fighters.
* Tom Holland is the perfect mix of Maguire and Garfield, giving us an awkward yet hilarious new Spider-Man that I look forward to watching grow. I was geeking out so hard whenever he was on screen. And as much fuss we made about seeing more of him beforehand, I'm glad they kept him under wraps for as long as they did. Made me appreciate him more.
* Zemo was a very unique villain. Makes me wonder if we have Thunderbolts coming in the future.
* The action is top notch as it was in Winter Soldier, from the hand to hand combat, the spectacular airport melee that I think Infinity War is going to have a hard time outdoing, and of course the downright brutal and heartbreaking final battle.
* While I'm sure the fallout will be felt in future solo movies, I think it would be cool if we got at least a couple extra movies focusing on the two sides focusing on the two sides doing their own thing before reuniting for Infinity War.
10/10
And yeah, I did like this film more than BvS, and I'm not trying to start anything, but you can't deny that both films had some major similarities.
Also, I don't know if anyone else watches Rick and Morty, but I couldn't help but share this. Gentlemen, I give you Stark and Petey.
